Hi Everyone-I haven't been posting much but know all you old timers. I'm looking for any advice. My 3 year old neice was diagnosed with Leukemia this week. She does NOT have ds, but just Leukemia. ALL form. If any of you have any experience with this or advice for my sister, please post up. She is the 7th of 8 children and her name is Sara. She's sweet as can be, but has undergone her first Chemo treatment and is now wiped out. Just looking for any experience/advice to pass on to my sister..

Hi Cindy, I am sorry your niece is having such a rough time. I do not have any experience with this but there is a web site very similar to this on called Downsyn.com There is a woman whose son has leukemia. I am sure she would be happy to chat with you about this if you send her a private message. Her name over there is AnnieO. God luck and I will be sending positive vibes your way. -Heather

Thank you all for your love and prayers for my neice. She was able to go home from the hospital on Sunday night, late--so it wasn't quite a whole week that she was there. She will have to go back and forth several times a week for the first couple months..The cure rate for ALL is pretty high-so that's what we're praying for..You guys are great. Sorry I haven't been on eons to post.

I'm walking in the "light the night" leukemia walk Saturday night. I'll add your niece to one of our light up balloons.
My step-dad passed away from leukemia, he found out he had it very late in the game. You are so right, the cure rate for finding it early and for younger patients is incredible!
