Jenn, So sorry that I am just catching up here. I've been so busy and out of the loop. First I LOVED the video, Brook is just too darn cute! The noise...no idea. Sounds like you have alot of suggestions/ideas... I sure hope the ENT sees the video and knows right away what it is! HUGS to you....I know waiting is so hard!

Stevie was only 3 months old when she had her bronchioscopy and her noises were just at night. I can't remember what they sounded like. She had a "super-glotto-plasty" which just means that they lasered the thing off when they saw it on her voicebox. The ENT suspected a "floppy projection" on her voicebox, did the rigid, rather than flexible, bronchioscopy so that they could use the laser if he was right. He was right, so they zapped it right then and there. When the swelling went away, so did the sound and the apnea. I forget, when do you get the results on that sleep study? I'm glad that Dr. Tami said you could relax since she is clearly not struggling. That's what I thought, but it sure is good to hear it from the doc Get some rest, girl!

We go on April 10th but i'm on the canelalation list so maybe sooner. A lady on another board reminded me of the name for Brooks "pond" thing behind her nose. Submucous cleft palate. I dug out Brook medical file and sure enuf, there was that word. Diagnosed at 8 months old along with the Treacheamalasia. Must of been the Pulmanoligist guy. Alot of things were in there I should have payed more attention to. The doc's wern't concerned so I forgot about it. I only get reminded when some food or fliud comes flying out her nose. lIke last night. I was out back with mom and Mary says "Mom, Brooks blowing chunks out her nose again" I quickly cleaned her up and gave her a squirt of her med's. What a silly girl. Also I did find a lady (one out of LOTS of parents) who said her daughter who is 1-2 yrs older than Brook sounded exactly like that. She had a big long word for it. Just the medical term for floppy airway. She said the docs didn't do anything about it that she would outgrow it. I've been hearing that for a long time. Maybe a little bit longer and she will outgrow it. *here's to hoping* Who knows with Brook. I think the little stinker is doing it to trick the momma LOL Kidding

tracheal-bronchial-laryngeal malacia and subglottic stenosis This is the funny word. Every word is somewhere in Brooks file but not all put together like this one. I looked it up of corse and mom read it yesterday and said that sounds like the culprit. I have made a new file to take to the doc's with all my findings. I HATE not being informed so looks like for now I have eneterd the world of doctor lingo I guess God thought I needed to be smarter and PAY ATTENTION BETTER!!! I thought I had a talk with Him when Brook was born and in the hosp. I for sure remember telling Him I don't do doctors and hospitals very well so if He could just spare me some of that stuff it would be so great. When we got out and got bigger I promissed Him i'd start and finish my classes and help parents with Spec Ed and all would be good I think He's testing me What a silly.

That is why I had to get it on video. I was having a reallly hard time trying to simulate that noise and the doc's would look at me funny Now I can show them it is a real noise and not snoring. Thank goodness for video cameras Sister came over and put the video on a little "saving thing" I can just plug into any computer and someone can see it. Of corse i'll let everyone know what the verdict is. I'm a blabbermouth like that
