Firstly a BIG HULLOOO to everyone in Uno Land...
I just dont seem to get on here too often anymore... between working almost full time and Facebook... I tend to just pop in and read occaiosionally.
But for those who are interested, and those not on Facebook...
Here is an update...
As I said I am working almost full time, as an Education Assistant (Special Needs/Ed Support) giving one on one aid time for a young boy with Autism and a young girl with global developmental delays. I am really enjoying this, and loving the extra pocket money!
I work at the same school that Lewis attends so my hours are perfectly suited, plus I get paid for school holidays etc... a great situation to be in!
Lewis LOVES having Mum at school, even though I dont see him much... I make a point of keeping away and ...I am NOT Mum when I am at school. It works well for us both.
Two and a half weeks ago, I had to take Lewis down to the city (1000km/11 hours drive) to get his tonsills and adenoids removed due to Severe obstructive sleep apnoea. We had to stay in the metro area for 14 days post surgery... Now that I am working I could only get limited time off... I stayed almost the whole 2 weeks, then had to leave Lewis with my Mum, rushed home, tagged Hubby and he drove down to be with him.
Lewis is now scheduled to have dental surgery tomorrow morning to extract 4 badly decayed teeth (grrrr long and frustrating story behind this!!) extract 2 baby teeth where the adult teeth have grown in behind without shedding the old ones (freaky looking!!) and to fill 4 teeth all under general anaesthetic...
Poor little man, 2 lots of surgery in less than 3 weeks...
I guess that is half the reason for me posting... I am missing him terribly and I suppose I am looking for company that can understand what we are going through at the moment.
After his tonsill/adenoidectomy, he spent 2 days in hospital... so much for "Day Surgery" as promised... after leaving recovery he did NOT sleep or rest, and refused to drink, so they had to keep the drip in... which is why he refused to drink... he wanted that thing gone! When he eventually did go to sleep (9pm that night!!) he de-satted and had to be put on oxygen... so we were held the next day until he drank and ate something then was able to sleep without dropping below 95%o2 sats.
The recovery period was traumatic to say the least... but when he finally came good... it was like flicking a switch and suddenly my little Noodle was back.
Sorry for my big long ramble...
I am just really missing him and a little concerned about his next lot of surgery tomorrow... and being soooooo far away from him hurts a lot.
He is in good hands, his Daddy is there with him.... and after all he IS Daddys boy...
Hope everyone else is well and enjoying your "Summer Holidays"
Cheers and thanks if you have read this far ;D
