and he is one very sick young man. Robin is being incredibly strong and doing a great job for him - holding up better than I think I could. I have to admit that I was numb for a little while after I left them.
I stayed for a few hours this afternoon, and was overwhelmed at the number of machines and the apparatus attached to him. He is on a ventilator, and has a dedicated nurse in his room, who is literally not allowed to leave, which is honestly a good thing. He is resting far more comfortably now because they medically induced a type of coma this morning. It was hard to see him like that, but his body needs some respite from the pain very badly, and an opportunity to heal.
I'm not sure what else to say, except that Chase needs the prayers and good wishes of his friends all over the world. Please continue to pray, and if you have a message for Robin, post it here. I'm going to go back to the hospital tomorrow morning, and will print any responses out for her to see - I know she would appreciate it very much.

Please let her know we are thinking of them and praying for Chase man.
I have added Chase to the church pray list and the pray list I belong to on line.

Laura,
I'm so glad you were able to go to the hospital! ! Please give Robin a hug from the Pace family tomorrow. I can't seem to think of anything else but Chase right now.

OMG Laura THANK Goodness you were able to go be with Robin and Chase today. THANKS so much for the update. Since we got home and I read about this, which I still cannot believe is going on  , I keep checking in here for any updates as I only come here, I don't face-book or anything. Please tell Robin and Chase we LOVE them and are praying for them BIG TIME  OMG just the thought of Mr. Chase having to deal with all this is just breaking my heart  Rest up Chase and heal, the angels are with you and SO many people are pulling for you Blessings being sent from us here in Jersey Christie, Colin, Kodi and Christopher ~ |

I am just seeing this....and I am SICK about it! What in the WORLD??? Things are not supposed to go this way! It's supposed to be EASIER as our kids get older. This is not fair! (picture me stomping my foot with my arms crossed!) I am saying a million prayers for Chase right now!
Lord, I lift Chase up to you. Let hi breath breaths that are light as air, let his heart beat smooth and in rhythm like a clock, let the excess fluids leave his body like a gentle stream. Let Chase, and his family see, hear and feel the power of your healing touch. Amen.

I don't post much but do read posts. I'm so sorry to hear this. I've been following your updates and just had to post. I will keep Chase and Robin in my prayers. I remember all too well how awful it is to be in a situation like this and feeling so helpless. Thank you for the updates.

Robin...please know that you and Chase are in my constant thoughts. Katie and Marnie used to read UNO years ago and remember the Chase stories so they too are praying for him, too.

Sorry to be so late in updating. I intended to visit this morning, but got a late start because we had a surprise snow last night and road conditions were nasty.
Chase's condition today is much the same as yesterday. He looks a little better, or maybe I was just ready for it today. They tried tube feeding yesterday, but are discontinuing it today because it wasn't going well. They did move him to another room, because all of his "stuff" took up to much space!
I printed out all the well wishes from Uno, and the link that Susan provided worked as well. They delivered the messages from the other site while I was there this afternoon. Robin read them all and was really happy to hear from everyone. She also read them aloud to Chase because the nurses say that he can hear us.
There is no discussion yet about bringing him out of the coma, he remains a very sick young man.
