I would like to help this very nice mom I met a few weeks ago get signed in. She says she is having trouble. I have been signed in for years and am not sure how a new person gets to be part of us. Can someone post directions I could pass along. Thanks in advance...Jackie

Jackie, I think a new member would just go to www.unomas21.comThen, click on "Bulletin board" and follow the instructions to register. It isn't like the Yahoo groups where you have to first be approved. Let me know if this doesn't work. Susan |

well sadly my friend is giving up. She tried signing in from another computer...and used all new info even...and STILL could not even get to read only status. It seems to accept her but then goes into the 'activation code' stuff. If she does show up her name is Teresa. She seems to have a lot of knowledge about autism and celiac so hope sometime she gets it to work for her.

I think I might know what the problem was. It's possible your friend thought she was signing up to the bulletin board, but was signing up to another part of the site that is disabled or read-only? Was she sure she was on the ProBoards Bulletin Board sign up section?
I believe she might have been signing up from the front section of Uno Mas (the home page is a wordpress site, but I had new member signups disabled, as it is only for admins really). I get notifications all the time, as wordpress is a constant target of hackers. But it's always just a program trying to login and spam or worse. I just ignore it, since signups are disabled ... (I thought). I need to check that and see if there is a link to sign up from the homepage that I am missing.

Also, I just remembered, didn't people who had AOL email accounts years ago have troubles signing up here on the BB when we converted? One of the major email co conflicted with the BB here...I want to say it was AOL. What kind of email account does she have.....?
