i dont post on here very often but i am keeping your niece in my prayers
Hannah's measurements weren't any different to another baby hence why they never suspected that anything was wrong.
I hope all goes well with the c section
let us know how it goes, will be thinking of you on Friday

Jackie, I never knew my measurements with Aidan...I just knew that his measurements were within the normal range...we didn't learn of him having DS til after he was born. I just wanted to say that your niece and her baby are in my prayers. Please let us know what's going on when you know more. I'll be thinking of you all!

ok..neice update:
She went today to her OB who did an 'in office' sonogram....less sophisticated machine.
First of all told her the baby was 'crammed' inside of her...head under her ribs...one foot down...and cord at the bottom so no way could she probably deliver without a C section.
Then said the head...which in this position is hard to measure....only seemed 2-3 weeks behind....but the femur is still 5-6 weeks behind so is consistant with possibility of DS....didn't totally rule out other things.
For me this sounds good...if baby cant be totally normal...then down syndrome is not all that bad as we ALL know......
So...keep us in your prayers Friday morning please.
I appreciate all the kind words...
Jackie

Jackie - I've been offline for a while but saw your post -- not sure this will help but my second child, Jack (now 5 1/2 years) measured VERY small during ultrasounds after about 30 weeks. HIs head and abdomen were in the 10th percentile and they were clearly concerned. I delivered him at 38 weeks.
He weighed in at just 5 lbs 10 oz. at birth, which is one OUNCE from being classified as "IUGR" - intra-uterine growth retardation. They never knew why he sort of stopped growing in the uterus but other than him being small, nothing else was ever "wrong." He does tend to vomit really really easily and threw up almost every day of his life until he was 2 1/2 years old (I figure his little tummy is just so small he can't hold much food down). BUT, other than that, he's perfectly healthy and FINE. And still quite small - the smallest kid in his class right now.
Now it sounds from your post like there may be even more going on than a few off measurements but I thought I'd share this info, just in case.
p.s - because of this history, every pregnancy I have I'm watched for IUGR again. When I had Zane, he showed NO sign of slow growth at all. (Then again, he showed no sign of DS either, so who knows what the docs really can tell sometimes! LOL...)
Hang in there and keep us posted.

Jackie, Your Niece and Nephew are in our prayers. Thank you for all the updates, sorry I couldn't be of any help. Ashley's measurements were all within normal limits.
I will be thinking of all of you.

Sorry I can't help either Justins' measurements were all within normal limits also, not even a hint of DS at the time, but just wanted to add our Prayers as well. Ashley on the other hand after 2 ultrasounds and 4 level 2's she was measuring weighing only 4lbs at 38wks, but when she was born at 39 1/2 wks she weighed in at 7lbs 11oz.
