ON our kids that is LMAO! Since we are posting about charts and stuff... care to share how old your child is and how tall and lbs they are? Russell is 7.1 yrs old... 3 1/2 (42 inches) feet tall and 39 lbs. We just got checked this week. His little sis, Reece, is 4.6 yrs old, 42 inches and 35 lbs I just printed the charts and plotted him. He is in the 10th percentile for weight and in height he is in the 25th. I am using the 42 inches because that is what Reece is and they are around the same height as her. He doesn't cooperate for that LOL. He actually is an inch or two shorter then her now so he probably falls just below the 25% technically... probably in the 15-25 percentile. . A.

Uh yeah, no way in he** I'm sharing MY weight - LOL
Jason is 12 years old, 4'8" and 90 lbs. He's in the 50th percentile for both height and weight. Yee ha!
He can eat like a cow and LOVES carbs, so we try to keep him under control there, but, he also loves ANY vegetable you put in front of him.

I find this to be so interesting -
Ok, Paige will be 5 next month, so I used age 5.
She is 35lbs and 40 inches tall. On the DS growth charts she comes in 50th % for Weight and the 75th% for height.
NOW on the typical growth charts she comes in at 15th% for weight and the 10th % for height.
Since she is above the 5th % on the typical growth charts, not indicating failure to thrive, then using the typical growth charts NOW would probably be ok, but she still looks really small. But when you use the DS charts, she is totally average and actually makes her look healthier, lol.
For comparison, her little brother is 3 1/2 - he is 39 inches tall and weighs 32 lbs.

Nicholas started out small and took a while to gain wt because of his heart defect, we had to use the high calorie formula, too. But he is good, now! He just turned 2, is 33" and 25 lbs. I was looking at the growth chart, and I believe that's 75% for wt, and 95% for ht. I was writing this in his baby book on his birthday, and he is the EXACT same ht and wt my 16 year old was at 2 yrs old. I know these guys are usually on the shorter side, but I wondered if this means my boys might end up around the same height?? He's not TALL by any means, 16 and about 5'8". Sharen, looks like Jordan would be 75% for ht and wt. That was going by a 6 yr old.

Christopher is 12 and is 4'7" and around 98 lbs I believe. To be honest, at the moment I can't say where that fits on either chart I do believe his height is shorter then most typical 12 year old boys, BUT hey I am only 5'2", so maybe he just takes after me. Kodi on the other hand at 15 is 5'7" I do believe, guess she gets that from her Dad, he is 6' ~ Where ever Chris falls on the charts, he looks fine to me CC ~

First of all, I am SO glad we are sharing the weight and height of our CHILDREN!!! I found this online, and I'm not sure if it is helpful or not but it looks good to me. You fill in the info and then check whether you want the Ds growth chart or not.....and it will plot your child on this chart. pedsmath.com/growth/After I figured this out, it seems that Em is in the 50th percentile for weight and 90th percentile for height on the Ds chart. Emily, if Im' not mistaken, weighs approximately 95lbs and is 4foot 10 inches. Most of her friends are about a year younger than Emily, and she tends to be exactly the same size as them. Ali is 26 months old, she weighs about 25lbs and is about 32 inches.
That puts her in about the 75th percentile for weight on the DS growth chart.
And about the 50th percentile for height on the DS growth chart.
That also puts her in the 5th percentile for height on the regular growth chart.
And about the 25th percentile for weight on the regular growth chart.
Her little sister is 16 months old, around 21lbs, and 30 inches.
Her weight fluctuates a lot, but she is generally around the 10th percentile on the regular growth chart for weight.
She is also in about the 25th percentile for height on the regular growth chart.
The height thing is definitely hereditary. I am 5'2. And although I've also been "petite" my whole life we have become concerned about Peanut's fluctation in weight and failure to gain weight even when her caloric intake is doubled. We were giving her about 1000 calories a day (a 20lbs child should get about 800-1000 a day, 80-100 calories per kilo) and the Dr told me if I was concerned about her weight gain to simply up her calories "and she'll fatten right up and you'll know you had no reason to be worried."
Well that was two weeks ago, we upped her calories to 1500 a day for a few days, then got the go ahead to up it to 2000 calories a day...with absolutely NO weight gain. She has stayed at the exact same weight. The Dr has decided it is time to find out what is going on so he wants to run a few tests for growth hormone defiency, and things like that. Regardless she is definitely happy!

Your link is really useful Susan !! We should post that somewhere here on Uno...there's a link "page", yes ? I'm never quite sure of Erin's (age 5) height....but her weight stays the same....25 pounds...puts in her the 50 % on the DS chart. She seems to defy the DS stereotype....verrrryyyyy long & skinny legs...and hands ! Wish I could say those are my genes.....but that is all dad !

Meghan is 4yr 3 months. She's 37 1/2 inches and 30lbs On Susan's chart she's about 5-10 percentile for both, can't tell exactly...and the DS chart 75th (ht) 50th (wt). She's always been like that, proportionate height & weight...I just hope she keeps it up :-)
