Awww THANKS gals for all the kind comments and letting me share my other child here with you all Today she turned 16 I can't believe my first born is now 16 I remember giving birth to her as if it were yesterday, OMG I was in BACK LABOR for 29 hours, I kid you not and then they had to do a C-Section. BUT she was worth every second of that pain She now gets her driving permit, Hmmm not sure if that is good or bad, LOLOL Enjoy your little ones gals they just grow up sooooo fast. AND to my first born...

My elder stepdaughter went to her boyfriend's prom and stayed out all night too. Her hair, these days, is about the same color as Kodi Lee's dress, well, maybe a shade darker. -- Party on, Bob

Two possible sources for boyfriend's jacket, btw complimented by white slacks and white shoes. Boyfriend's story makes it sound like a family heirloom, passed down from father to son. In which case your DH is probably out of luck. But Lynn posted a photo on one of her mommy boards and another mom said she thought she used to have drapes that looked a lot like that. I could ask Lynn to send you the email addy of the former drape owner if you really wanted to pursue. -- Cheers, Bob ps Maybe this give an insight into why my stepson goes around singing that song from Death to Smoochy, "My stepdad's not mean, he's just adjusting ..."

Wow, cc ~~ she IS beautiful!!! I missed the earlier strep throat thread and I'm late on this one (and a few others too - went back to work full time last week) but I wanted to pop in and say how great she looked.
They grow so fast - my girl was just 5 last week!!!

CC...I understand EXACTLY how you feel! My older son turned 16 in April! Now he has his license and is quite mobile. They somehow grow up when you're not looking! Wonder where the time went? I miss my baby!

cc, I am so happy that the prom went well and Kodi Lee was able to enjoy the weekend!! I was keeping her in my prayers. She is such a beautiful young lady, but I know you already know that!
Bob, I LOVE the stepdaughter's hair and the date's jacket!!! You gotta do all that stuff when you are young and can get away with it. Actually, my hair was even brighter than that and now I am lovin' being a typical suburan housewife.

Wow, CC, what a beautiful girl she is! And I agree with Jessie, you would never guess by looking at her that she was getting over being ill - she absolutely glows!
And Bob, I love your daughter's hair color! I would never have the nerve to try something that daring. Good for her!
