Hi! I was wondering if anyone knew of a good company to have a child identification bracelet or tag made for my son who is a wanderer. We have been losing him quite frequently and I feel he really needs ID as he can't tell someone his name. My only concern is that he won't like to wear it so if anyone knows of any cute kids styles it would be appreciated.

Look on page two of this board, there is a post started by Sherri about identification bracelets, and she includes the link to get them.
Also she has a thread titled Angel Alert Child Distance Monitor on page 2. Check that out.

www.medicalert.org/(r5jg5p551mpexoitaqsuypf3)/home/Homegradient.aspxThis link above goes to MedicAlert... while DS is not a medical need, they have plenty of ID bracelets and you could have your cell phone number engraved on it. That angel alert child distance monitor thing from the previos post looked cool, too.,... though it looked a little cumbersome (sp?)...something smaller and sleeker would be more practical... Erin would rip that off of herself in a second !

www.medicalert.org/(jimbzq45heatywein2rtfa45)/Home/HomeCatalog.aspx?Catalog=Sports sorry, sent my reply too soon... above link goes to the same place... but to the kids page... they have cool "sport band" id tags..... I just ordered one for my son...who does have a medical condition... I did not get one for Erin yet... because her little arm is so tiny.... I didn't think they'd be small enough and I wanted to see what my son's size looked like.

This is not an ID bracelet but another "alarm system" "Kidsafe Monitoring and Water Hazard Alarm" The kit includes 3 pendant style transmitters (for 3 kids), and one base/receiver unit, and a small supply of batteries. It is also available in Australia and the UK. Details can be found at www.huko.orgor www.huko.org/CarersDisabilities.pdfI really liked this one as it also has an alarm that sounds if the unit (or child) enters water.
