I haven't been on here in a while since my little Justin has been keeping me up nightly for months now. He has been having trouble with obstruction of his airway requiring more and more O2. The docs blew me off til he pulled his cannula off on Tues and he dropped to 8%. Don't need to describe the color blue do I? ENT saw him today and scoped him while I held him. His soft tissues are causing enough obstruction that he can barely get any air in. He is penciled in for surgery tomorrow to remove his tonsils, part of his soft palate, and part of his uvula. Please pray that the surgery goes well and that he has an uneventful and quick recovery. Thanks.

I think the Columbus, Ohio Children's Hospital will end up killing my son!!! After this so-called routine surgery, he is still in PICU on the vent. They have now given him pseudomonas, staph, and pneumonia. They have been unable to extubate him because of all these complications. I already lost his identical twin brother at the same hospital last year and I am so afraid they will make me lose Justin too. We need a lot of prayer. My poor baby has been restrained and on his back for 4 days now. He never gets to move side to side or anything. I can't hold him because they are afraid his ET tube will come out. Kids like Justin can't be left on their backs this long without getting pneumonia...they are hypotonic and need to be repositioned to help keep their airways clear. I am so livid with his piss poor care!!!! Thanks for letting me vent.
