Hey Guys...it's been awhile since I've posted. I am mom to Kaylee -age 10 with Ds and Emma-8 Sam turning 1. Kaylee is doing well for those who know her. She's finishing 4th grade and has had a terrific year. Her classroom teacher has been really involved in making her year go well--along with various inclusion assistants and specialists. I think this was probabley Kaylee's best year yet! She has a great group of typical peers that are very supportive. I am desperatly in need of some ideas for teachers gifts. Unfortunately-Kaylee has at least 7 teachers that I feel compelled to do something for--fortunatley Emma has only 1. We're thinking of making refrigerator magnets out of clay and painting them--any suggestions from all of you of something not to spendy?? Post up..

If you look through past threads, you will find one on teacher's gifts. It was running about 3 weeks ago. There were many great suggestions.

Hi, I am mum to Ava Elizabeth and haven't posted here in a while but I do know a wonderful website that I have used many time to puchase gifts for Ava's PT, OT, ST etc. it is www.givinggreetings.com/Randi Sargent owns and operates this one person company and a lot of proceeds go to special education. I happen to find her on the web but come to find out she lives just down the street from me in Sudbury, MA. Randi is so wonderful! She knows a lot about special need and she has a son Graham that goes to school with Ava as well. If you happen to order from her please let her know that Ava's mum passed along her name and website. I am sure that you will just lover her stuff! Ava's teachers truly adore her cards and note pads. Hope this helps! Have a great long weekend everyone!

What I loved getting when I was teaching were homemade gifts of any type, pictures of the student, or small amounts of disposable supplies like pencils or crayons. I was always running out of pencils and had to buy my own, so getting some wraped in a ribbon with a litle note was great.
