Things she has accomplished, since her last IFSP in February. A few of these are things she has been doing for a while, just not consistently.
GROSS MOTOR
Going into and out of sitting. She's been going out of sitting forever but she started going into sitting on her birthday. Since then she's been unstoppable. She is also doing it correctly which is wonderful. This was one of her goals last time.
Crawling on all fours, she started doing this a couple of months ago. Also one of her goals last time.
Pulling to a stand on just about anything...couch, chair, table, swing, walker, TV, ect. This is definitely since her last IFSP and also was one of her goals.
Pulling to a stand, and then sitting back down on her own. Even squatting to get something and then coming back up without going all the way down.
Walking with support...(holding onto your hands. She's still not thrilled with the idea, but she's getting more used to it as time goes on.)
Cruising furniture.
Going from the couch to the table, or the table to a person, while standing and cruising the furniture. It takes a lot of balance.
Climbing, stairs with help...onto a mattress or couch without help.
FINE MOTOR
Pointing to things she wants, this is also recent. It was one of her goals last time.
Pushing specific buttons on things, for fine motor skills. She was doing this before with the VCR but now it is definitely consistent!! (We moved the vcr and now she is angry she can't reach it!) This was one of her goals.
Picking up small things, and even slippery things like Spagettios.
INTERACTIONAL...(I'm lacking a better word right now!)
Putting things IN and taking them back OUT. She has finally been doing great with this, I think it was one of her goals before.
Helping to dress and undress herself. She'll stick her arm in the arm hole, or stand up for me so I can pull up her pants, ect. And as far as undressing herself...she doesn't have a problem there! We are going to get her a potty here shortly and see how that goes.
Passing objects from hand to hand.
If I am getting her dressed and she has something in one hand, she will switch hands so I can put each of her arms in her shirt.
Sharing...only when she wants to, but she is getting much better about sharing...and "your turn" and "my turn".
Ali loves to play with her shadow also, she looks for it and as soon as she finds it she gets very very excited.
Ali is good at identifying body parts...mouth, nose, ears.
ORAL MOTOR
Chewing things up instead of swallowing them whole, much less gagging or choking.
Saying "dad" and "Mom" instead of "dada" and "mama".
Said "Cat" once a few days ago while watching her video.
GOALS FOR THIS IFSP - Assessment June 3rd - IFSP meeting June 8th.
GROSS MOTOR -
Crusing the furniture and being more comfortable with it.
Walking unassisted, a few steps anyway.
Climbing more, and more on her own.
FINE MOTOR
More pointing to what she wants.
INTERACTIONAL
More talking and signing
Better interaction with her sister.
ORAL MOTOR
Less formula more solids.
Off the bottle most of the time.
Cup drinking or straw drinking.
More talking.
The food goals were goals last time too...we have to thicken Ali's liquids because she was aspirating everything. She will not drink anything out of a cup or straw that is thickened, she'll only take it in a bottle. We are working on that...and until it's resolved she will have to be on a bottle. So all of the above go together and without one the other ones won't work. Any suggestions in that department would be great too.
Also, Ali kind of went on strike after getting her shots a month ago and refused to stand or walk or anything. Then we went to the park and she loved walking on the grass, and she's been better since then. But she still won't let you walk with her for very long...any motivating ideas there??
Thanks in advance...I always seem to have a hard time coming up with goals for her. I don't have a problem with everything she has accomplished, just coming up with new ones!
