I am fairly new to the site, I found it in March. I have an 8 month old precious baby boy, Cooper. Cooper had VSD, ASD and PDA repair in January and has done very well from the surgery. I am so proud of him, he is almost sitting by himself, the PT says that she thinks within the month he will be sitting by himself and crawling. He has done so well with PT. He gets PT twice a week, Speech twice a week, Developmental Therapy twice a week and Occupational Therapy will start in the next week, twice a week. Cooper is the love of my life. I am a single mom and Cooper is my life. I am lucky to have my friends and family to support me. I am also lucky to have found this site, I am sure all of you feel the same way. I can get online and just read about everyones kids and be so thankful that I have all of you to help me be positive in this journey. Reading some of the posts makes me feel so good about all of the accomplishments all of the older kids have done. I know Cooper will do well, he has a loving family and already has lots of friends. Thanks to all of you for posting each and every day and helping new moms like me. This site has helped me more than most people know. I tell all my friends how great this site is for me, but until they have to deal with some of the things that we go through they will never know. Again, Thanks to all of you!

Cooper is an adorable baby and it's obvious that his mommy is totally in love with him. Where do you live and how did you get so many services? I wish I could have gotten that many services when Sarah was an infant. Chris

Hey Wendey!! I am so glad to hear about Cooper's BIG gains! That is wonderful news....You are both so lucky to have one another! I wish you all the best at ACH with Dr Gibson. I know it is coming up soon. Please don't let my nightmare of a visit worry you. That was with ortho, not genetics. Our visits to genetics have always been wonderful and very helpful...I think you will be glad you got Cooper started with them. Please let me know how it goes.... I was reading the responses from the other moms, and I think we are very lucky to have all the services available to our guys that Arkansas offers! Brace is getting 3 hours a week of speech, 2 hours a week of OT, and 1 hour a week of PT. He will also get to go to preschool starting in August with a full time aide. I am scared to death and thrilled at the same time....... I am glad you have found all of these therapies for Cooper too.... It sounds like he is really doing well!! You go Cooper! He is just so precious! Take care! Kim
