Justin is 18 mos old and he can't talk, sit, crawl, or walk. they say he is at a 6-7 mo level. Imagine how I felt!!! He is able to roll side to side and onto his tummy. He can't roll back off his tummy, though. He can raise up on his arms for about 30 seconds and then he can't hold himself up anymore. They tell me developmentally is is a lot farther behind than he should be compared to other children with DS. I am just happy he is here and thriving. I am TRYING not to look at his weaknesses, rather his strengths. The docs just seem to focus only on the weaknesses and it gets me very frustrated. He and his identical twin, Jordan, were born 11 weeks early. Jordan passed away at 13 days old, so I can't even experience this with him. Justin gets a lot of praise for what he CAN do and that makes us both happy. I think that is what counts for us.
