Steff, Hope the docs can figure it out quickly. We've been seeing alot of viral stuff out my way... high fevers, sore, sore throats, achy muscles, some vomitting. Lasting about 7-10 days! I had a bit of it myself...very bad sore throat and sore muscles for about 8 days. Let us know how she makes out. Prayers for a speedy recovery

welll HI.. thanks for asking Allisa.... let's see she went in and had no fever cause she doesn't get one during the day her temp was normal. But she did start her funky phlegmy cough today be4 we went in. So her ears fine tummy fine we have kinda thought out loud it may be sinusitus(sp) as she had a cold for a couple week a week without one then the last week of this. Her sats sat at 90-92 so we had to stay a while no fever but the weird thing is her heart rate for the entire time didn't go below 125. Now that is weird. The dr.said it may be due to her being dehydrated so we have been pushing the water and fluids as it will help the crud stuck behind her nose too(water it down ewww) BUT took it tonight when she started to get a tiny fever a tiny one 101 and her heart rate was at 150. so tylenol brought it down (her heart rate)to 130 and has been that way for a couple hrs but weird.. all right all you nurses dr.'s etc what else can cause a heart rate to be so high. I am scared to think what it must be when her temp is 104-105 my goodness) The lowest it was today was 125 and I never take it just so happen to have a blood pressure machine here that is accurate as I checked it up to the dr.'s today to make sure it was allright cause I got this brand new in the box blood pressure machine ya know the kind u can put batteries in? at the salvation army for 2 bucks. You know I can't pass that up I'm such a thrift store bargain shopper can't help it it's in my blood love to get that chanel dress for 10 bucks or some real find they have no idea about and priced it low.

Hopefully after she finishes her meds she will be back to her old self. Have you had her checked out by a cardiologist lately? I am unsure as to her medical at birth, just thought I'd ask. I do hope she gets to feeling better. Take care.

Steff, I am so sorry to hear Liv is so sick...Does she have any kind of rash, red swollen tongue? Also, Try the pills you may be surprised. Collin has been swallowing pills for about a year now...Can't hurt to try, as long as they're not HORSE pills. Connie

Steff, Rapid heart beat can be caused by alot of things....fevers, dehydration, medications (especially asthma meds like albuteral), hyperthyroid, anxiety, pneumonia, caffeine, infections, etc. Did you call your pediatrician and let him know? Or does she see a cardiologist? Normal heart rate in a well child is usually no higher than 100 beats (usually 60-80 beats in older kids...higher in younger kids). It might be good to check it out. Keep us posted.

thanks Dolly. Well we are hoping its dehydration and am hydrating the child as I type. well she is hydrating herself. She hadn't taken any albuterol for 24 hours prior as when she woke up in the night her little heart was beatin so fast thought it may jumpout of her chest so actually she had only 1 time of huffers with the spacer only since friday. she wasn't fevered so thats out, hmmm hyperthyroid? may wanna go get another check with the endo sounds like a plan, caffeine lmao the child will get near any caffeine over my dead body, infection? perhaps... Yes will hydrate the child and medicate her and see what happens. Took her pulse this morning about 30 min after she woke up and it was down to 110. thanks Dolly appreciate it. I go back to my cardiologist on the 22nd because we couldn't do the icd cause I had an infection and weird bloodwork. So more blood on the 22nd will ask my cardio and will make her an appt anyhow cause we hafta check her heart thickness now too. so hey will get em all done be4 she departs to cap on July 1st. Thanks again for responding. ((HUGS))) steff
