Someone sent me a e-mail about the show NIP TUCK Its the "racy" series about 2 plastic surgeons. They are doing a storyline next week about a young man with down syndrome who wants to "change" his looks so he will be "more like his parents". It stars a young actor who has down syndrome. ( I can't think of his name..) Interesting subject....I don't really watch the show, so I don't know how they will treat this. Might be worth watching for this episode

I watch this show a lot. There was a season where the anesthesiologist (who on the show is gay) wanted to get pregnant. Well she got the conceited, playboy to donate his sperm. Turns out she started to have complications with the pregnancy and went through prenatal testing to find out the baby had DS and she terminated the pregnancy. Well, I happened to be pregnant with Emily at the time and was very dissapointed with the story. Until the end of the episode where the doctor (who's very into himself and his looks, etc) asks her how the pregnancy is going and she tells him what happened. He turns around and said how could you have done that and something to the effect of "well I would have taken him and loved him." I thought that was a nice turn of events to have the stuck-on-himself doctor wanting the child "unconditionally." Will have to make sure I watch this episode. Warning to anyone who hasn't seen it before...besides being explicit sexually, it is very explicit when the doctors are operating.

You will have to tell me how it turns out. Interesting that DS has come up twice - I will bet anything someone has an angel around there! That previous story line sounds interesting, too. At first it sounded so stereotypical, but ended very enlightening.

Although I have never seen this show.. I find it facinating and would probably really enjoy it. It's so raunchy in so many ways.. I love it! LOL I love watching the previews. Alot of this other good stuff is on the same time as other shows we watch.. and other things we are already "tivo'ing" so I will have to see if I can tape it or not. I was enjoying the previews of this weeks (I think) with Joan Rivers and Anne Heche was it? Looked AWESOME!

I think I saw this young man at the Down Syndrome conference this year in Chicago.

I love this show! It fascinates me in a really sick sort of way.The show always manages to shock me in some way.I have been hooked since episode one where they disposed of body by attaching hams to it to attract the alligators! I will be glued to this episode. another show to watch- Dr.Phil on Thursaday is advertising a show about a mom who has a mentally retarded child- it sounds like she is abusive to the child- I hope Dr.Phil gives her an attitude adjustment!

just watched the NIP TUCK episode....I thought they handled the subject material very well. The young man with down syndrome (Blair Williamson), did get his plastic surgery "to make him look more like his family". The doctor changed his nose...gave him the family "hump" on the bridge of his nose. When the doc took off his bandages and gave him a mirror, Blair said "I look just like my Dad". Made me smile!!

I LOVED IT!!! It was not what I was expecting. I thought they were going to do a radical surgery to change all his looks.I loved that they made him look like his family but still like himself. I thought Blair did a great job!

I missed it Had a migraine last night and no way could I stay up....good news for anyone else who missed it.....they ALWAYS replay later in the week.... Yes I agree the show is very shocking....I do watch.,...but get a littel bothered when they show the teenagers in sexual situations......too riske for me....I have no problems with the adult adult storylines....but.....I htink they should have left hte "kids" out....
