Hi again!! I forgot to add that the biggest convention for Down Syndrome will be in Atlanta, GA on July 21-23rd. I haven't been, but my husband and I are planning to volunteer. Check out National Down Sydrome of Congress for more info.
You might be too busy with your son and daughter, but just wanted to let you know. Look me up if you are coming ok?

HI!!!! Welcome to UNO.. My name is Steff mom to Olivia(8 born with ds) and kyle 9 . We reign fro Los Angeles CA. CONGRATS!!!!! When my little one Olivia was born I thought my life was over. BUT really looking back it was JUST BEGINNING!!!!! She's a trip 8 years old. In regular/typical 2nd grade class as well as mornings from 8:30-11 am in the sp ed class. She is reading writing talking my ear off has lotsa friends and an overall great gal. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined she would be doing so much at such a young age. She rocks .... You are soo lucky to be close to Jenn Courtneys mom as she is a HUGE resource and a really nice gal as well.Good luck on your dr. search. I would make copies of the growth charts and medical checklist sheets for the new doctor(ped). I found that those who are willing and thankful for em are my friends..LOL Livs first ped told me she didn't have a need for em as Liv was just like any other child medically. I dumped her and got a new one at UCLA a resident. She turned out to be my angel. She already had copies of all the charts when I went to give em to her. She knew about ds and all medical problems associated with em and listened to everything i had to say. I think what helped me most to get out of my funk in the first few months(okay I am a slow recouperator-is that a word???) is to go to a ds support group meeting and getting out and talking to others. HUGS and wanna hear all about whats up with you n Brock. K??? Steff BTW I got out my little darling baby book and she weighed almost 12 pounds at 12 weeks. LMAO so much for the tiny ds baby theory
