Kristen,
Cole has been through so much! Sarah is also missing the upper duct on her left eye. She had her ducts probed at about 14 months. That didn't work so they tried it again and it still didn't work. We had tubes put in her eyes last June and had them taken out in December. The tubes didn't seem to work and her eyes looked terrible until March. I am afraid that she will have conjuctivitis again as soon as she catches her next cold.
We haven't had her bone chipped yet and I am hoping it never comes to that.

JT had his three year old physical a couple of weeks ago. His "regular" Dr. suggested seeing an ENT before the surgery.....So now JT is scheduled to have his tear ducts probed AND his Tonsils and Adenoids taken out, and a good cleaning and eval of his ear to see if he should have tubes.
His T & A's weren't huge, but were enlarged, and could contribute some to his constant open mouth breathing...which could delay speech (somehow everything is connected) The ENT was a bit lax, and just said since he's already scheduled for surgery, we might as well take them out.
On one hand I feel better that they are doing everything at once, and on the other hand it scares me to death!
We were just at the pre-op with the opthamologist, and he was showing us all of the drawings of what he could potentially find..........yikes! For now, we've only okayed the probe, not the tube or any other reconstruction.
Thanks for sharing, and I hope your little ones teary eyes the best!
