Hi! I hope people still post here. Anybody out there? I'm Cheryl Faith, and I'm mommy to Leo, who happens to have been born with Down Syndrome. Currently, we're all in the throes of the 'terrible two's' ! I'm American, but I lived in England's West Midlands for nearly 4 years. Leo was born there, November 6, 2003. In 2004, my British hubby, Robin, decided to try to sell his house, & we've been back in my native NY State since Feb. 2005! Life is challenging, exciting, difficult, and joyful! We have 2 million things happening at once. We've been enmeshed in the Immigration process for Robin for months now, & it's been nerve-racking. We're involved in working intensively with Leo on his speech and physical development, while he receives Physical Therapy through Early Intervention. I had always worked full-time, in education. Now, however, we feel isolated...Robin recently received his work authorization, and is frantically job-searching, as his immigration interview is reapidly approaching. We are a house of stress! You seem to be an optimistic, lovely group of people. Are you still here??
