Does he not help Zane because he is "assigned" to another student ? The bus had been okay for us....'til this past week.....
PS.....Dani.....did you have a good time Friday night ? I went on Saturday with my son Ty.....we had sooooo much fun.....we never left the dance floor.....

Hey Allisa, Sorry for my delay on this one - been so crazy this week! So there is another person on the bus in addition to the driver in the morning (I don't know what her official role or title is but she's supposed to help the kids on the bus.) She isn't assigned to any one student that I'm aware of....and she simply helps strap Zane into his car seat every morning. That is the extent of what she does, as far as I know. In my view, if she's there, she should do at least basic things like wipe a nose and/or prevent someone from hurting themselves, but maybe I'm asking too much? LOL Anyway, I was so surprised to see you Friday night!! We had an amazing time until a small accident on the dance floor (Jack hit his chin on the floor while doing the "worm" - so cute but not fun.) Kinda ruined his mood and he was already so tired and had a slight fever...but he rallied and we ended up having a blast. I wish they'd do it more than once a year!! Very, very special night. So glad you went Saturday - is it even better as they get older? xoxo Danielle

Aidan rides the spec ed bus, too, and it has problems coming early one day where we miss it...then coming later the next when we're there waiting for 10, 15 minutes...so frustrating and hard to do when I have 2 kids at home waiting for me, not sure if the baby is crying, etc. (just live a hop, skip and a jump from bus stop, so leave them sleeping and it all works out and I can see my door from the bus stop, which is locked anyway). Anyway...Aidan has a bus aide on the bus with him and I view her as Aidan's advocate. I feel more comfortable with her on there with him, so he's not alone, kwim? I'm GLAD there are two adults on the bus with him and the other kids! It puts my mind at ease. He just has a short distance to go, and I'd drive him myself...but there again, hauling 3 young children around two to four times a day is hard and I'm like A...I'm lazy and would rather not Staci
