I would say we're officially in~Bernie really seems excited about this trip. The only thing that would stop us at this point is if my dad rents a house in New Buffalo, Mich during that weekend~then we would have to go there. But otherwise we are in.
My kids love amusement parks so if there is a group going on Thur. then maybe I can talk him into going early too! I cant wait until July!
Now I just have to call the hotel and see about a room~with five kids I'm going to see if they have any larger rooms or if we need to get 2 rooms. Bernie wanted to stay at a Marriot because his sister works for them and can get us cheap rooms but I told hime no because most of the fun is hanging out at the hotel together!

Bernie just called me from work and said that his friend told him about a triple A baseball team in Louisville that has a fun stadium to go to. It is for the Louisville Bats team and their website is www.batsbaseball.com They have a game Friday night, July 8 at 7:15. Bernie will probably take the 3 older boys to the game so we were wondering if there was any interest from anyone else in going. If a group goes I will go with Nora and Patrick too, otherwise I will just do what the group does. So if anyone is interested in going to the game post up and we can see what we can do about getting a group of tickets. Mary

Susan,
I have not looked on her since my last post. I just want to clarify the dates before I make our reservations. You mentioned the amusement park on Thursday, so what day are you getting there? If my older son comes I'm sure he would want to do the baseball game. My husband is not a fisherman, but that is okay. When are they planning on fishing? We all love doing the picnic thing too.
Let me know. We are excited about seeing everyone again. Joyce

Joyce, I know I am coming in on that Thurs, July 7th, as is Susan I do believe. I don't know when anyone else is coming... some may come just from Fri-Sun... but the dates would be... July 7-10. Hopefully we can swing the amusement park ourselves, just depends on money. But if you all go, we can just sight see.. no biggy for me I wouldn't worry about a set time for the fishing... the fishing is a lake that is at the Holiday Inn ... so that is an "anytime" kinda thing... from what I can see on the photos... I think whomever goes can walk and fish! I don't know if a baseball game would work for all of us... but someone is MORE then welcome to adopt Regan and her friend Nicole if they want! ;D ;D... for the baseball game. A baseball game would not work for Russell.... Ok... so Joyce is making her reservations!!!! YEAH... ok Mary.. have you? And Robin.. you better do yours soon too!!!!! Who else?! Anyone??? ;D A.

Joyce~ If we all decide to do the amusement park on Thursday, I plan for our family to just drive from our house directly to the park (to save one night at the hotel......it's just about a 3.5 hour drive) and meet up with everyone there. I love the idea of going there if it works for everyone.
A~ If we do the baseball game, (although....YIKES, how hot!!) I'll gladly take Reagan with me cause I'm going to want Kevin to take Jordan fishing!

Susan, it's Regan AND Nicole you would have to take... and we would gladly swap out for Jordan and fishing! LOL I mean, lets get serious here... Regan will be going where JUSTIN goes... LOL.... So if HE goes to the game, SHE will want to... heehee.... Joyce, we'd be doing what Susan is doing.. driving in and going to the amusement park on that Thurs... IF we can afford the park. But regardless of Six Flags, we are driving in Thurs AM... it's only 4 hours for us. Mary....IF others go to the game, we could definately find some "young child" type thing to do... hang out at the pool or something.... if you don't want to do the game. A.

Yes, it's me Dave said he would love to do the ball game. I dont think Chase would be up for it, not really sure but I bet ole Zacharoo might like it alot. Dave is also up for fishing. Question though, d you have to have a Kentucky fishing license or indiana one to fish? Either way he is pretty good at sitting in a lawn chair with a beer in his hand watching the guys He needs anything that involves relaxation as he is one stressed out DH in great need of a vacation. We will be arriving on the 7th but seeing as it is a long long drive for us we are not too sure about the park, guess it depends on what time we get there, how much evening passes are and how far from the hotel it is. One word of caution... the price of the hotel has gone up alot so you need to reserve and lock in your price now online if you can. It is the Holiday Inn in Clarksville In on 505 Marriot Drive. I cant wait to see everyone......I am geeked!!!!!! Dave is geeked he finally gets to really come!!!! We have our room, time off of work for Dave and are ready to go, now if the days just pass fast!!!!!! huggers, Robin

OK~I'm really excited about this trip~the only thing that will get in the way is if my dad rents a house in New Buffalo during that time~so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will be at a different time!
It sounds like theres a good amount of people interested in the baseball game. I guess in a few weeks we should get an official count and I can look into getting tickets.
I still have to call the hotel so I will do that tomorrow~with 5 kids we may have to get two rooms or I'll have to see if they have any larger rooms. I think we will arrive on Thur. I'm not sure about the amusement park~It's a 5 1/2 hour drive for us so if we leave early enough maybe we could do it~I know the boys would love it.

I just called the hotel to ask if we need fishing licenses and the man said that they no longer allow fishing in their lake! There are places to fish along the river, so I would suggest Indiana fishing licenses if we fish on the same side as our hotel. Actually, when fishing on the Ohio River, I think either state's license will do. I will check to be sure, and to see which state's is cheaper.
Robin, so great to see you're able to post again! Can't wait to see you and your family! If you need a break while drving, call me and you can stop at my house. My reservations are for Fri-Sun but we could change to Thurs.

Here is the license info: You can use either state's license for fishing on the main Ohio River but not on the tributaries. You can buy either state's licenses online. Indiana has one day non-resident for $7 or seven day for $12.50. Kentucky has one day non-resident for $7, two day for $14, three day for $21. To buy KY license online, fw.ky.gov/license/olpsintro.aspxTo buy IN license online, www.in.gov/dnr/fishwild/licenses/buylic.htm

Glad you called Donitta since my lazy butt didn't do it! So SAD they don't have fishing! I am glad you posted the license links though... and if there is a Walmart near by, which I am sure there will be somewhere, they can get day passes there... the boys still may want to do some fishing.... who knows.... I will ask Kevin and see what he wants to do..... Did you make sure there will be WATER in the pools though when you called? LMAO ;D ;D We all know what happened the LAST time I picked a hotel!!! heehee I don't want Robin calling me up and yelling at me again for no water in the pool!!!! A.

Sh*t! I forgot to ask about water in the pool! LOL But I'll wait until the end of June to call with that question. Just because there is water now doesn't mean there will be when we get there.

ROFLOLPMP Donita, Very good point about the water being there now and not in June, kinda like it being in pictures on the internet but not in the pool. Okay little missy Adrienne, I wasnt ever going to tell but seeing as I have a couple witnesses, (Kristi and Ron), let's tell the truth. I didnt call you yelling,...... I called YOU so YOU ;D could yell at the hotel lobby guy and ROFL, you did a FINE job, you could be heard without the phone even to my ear. You made me proud darling As for my yelling at the guy, I only did it for the kids AND because you and Kristi and Susan put me up to it:D LOLOLOL, we'll be sure we have water first this time!!!! LOLOL, it will always be a funny memory won't it and darn if it wasn't a great hotel except for lack of a pool WITH water, LOL! huggers, Robin PS...you're right about the fishing, the guys can decide if they can find a good place to fish and just go grab a day pass if they want.

Every time we come home I always tell her about her future boyfriend Zach. They sure would make a cute couple in 15 years..lol. Can't wait to see everyone again!! What about Maria?
