It looks like we might be able to come this year too. We look forward to seeing everyone again. ;D ;D What day are you planning on arriving Thurs or Friday?
It might conflict with our Vegas trip, but hopefully it doesn't. We had so much fun at the past two get togethers.

Are we definately using the Holidome ? As you know, it's still not a definate go for us as Meri's appointment still isn't scheduled for Childrens but the 27th is Mike's 40th so I think I'm gonna beg tonight & see if he'll agree to coming. I did post over at the island that there's a new indoor water park not far from there & it's attached to about 3 hotels. It's called Splash Lagoon. pittsburgh.about.com/cs/erie/p/splash_lagoon.htm

Suzi...there is a water park right next to Cedar Point for those who would want to go to one the next day and it is wayyyy cheaper then the lagoon, also right next door so no one has to drive any farther. But after doing Cedar Point for a whole day we have found after doing this for so many years that everyone would rather spend time together at the hotel pool area just hanging out all day and visiting with everyone and we have a huge picnic, HolidayInn Holidome is good about giving us a conference type room to hang out in for the food part. Also there is alot of folks (myself included) who cant afford to do two big days and the cost of the hotel would be alot higher. At the HolidayInn Holidome the kids eat free which makes a big difference to alot of people, and there is always a play area for our kids. And last but not least..it is farther away for those who are coming from the west. I think because Ohio is so centralized it is the reason we get such a large amount of people who come to the get togethers. HOWEVER.... I would love to maybe add another get together later in the year for those who would want to gather when the weather is not so nice and it would be a good time for an indoor park, maybe in the fall, and there were some from the east who couldnt make the June/Ohio trip. And besides, I have it on good authority your princess will not have to have any appointments when we are on vacation in June because everything is going to be fine, from my lips to GOD'S ears! So you will have to finally make an appearance lady, do you realize no one has met you except me and Susan? Everyone needs to meet your gang:-D hugs, Robin P.S. I think Susan may be already working on reservations for us and trying to get a good price, stay tuned for further updates

Robin~ I've been busy with trip planning to Vegas (had a blast!), and our trip to CA. Now I can focus a bit more on the Cedar Point trip. I'll call the Holiday Inn's group sales people (only open Monday thru Friday) to see what kind of deal we can get at the Holiday Inn Sandusky that I posted about before. Right now, the price is around $135 per night, and I'm pretty sure we can do better than that! I was thinking we had plenty of time to look into this, but I am afraid the good hotels will fill up. I promise to do it on Monday!!! ~ The indoor water park looks awesome, but I have checked into some of them in other areas and they are really expensive!!! I personally would rather stay in Ohio, as close to Cedar Point as possible. It's about a 9 hour drive for us I think, and Pittsburg is even farther. I guess we should see what the whole group wants to do fairly quick!!! There is an outdoor water park near Cedar Point, and I can check into the prices there as well.
LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS GET TOGETHER!!!!
Susan

Ok, I'll keep this all in mind. Mike is still saying he doesn't want to come, that it'll be more fun w/o him. I scheduled Meri's appt yesterday. It's April 30th at Children's so we should have answers after that. There's a chance that it would jusy be me & the 2 little ones coming as Matt's Little league team right now only has enough to field a team w/ no subs. Also, Nick & Mike might opt for father/son cubscout weekend those same days.

It's ok if you don't want to do the indoor waterpark. But, so you know it's not in Pittsburgh, it's right near there off Erie.It was just a listing from the Pitt. guidebook online. We have friends that jst went a couple weks ago & said it's awesome.(good alternative to the park if it rains) It's free if you stay at certain hotels & has restaurants & a huge gameroom included. Are you gals on instant Message right now?

www.cedarpoint.com/groups.cedarpoint.com/public/onedaycp/pricing.cfmHere are 2 URL's for Cedar Point sites. It looks like the adult admission price for a 2 day pass (this would let us go to one day at the amusement park and one day at the water park, or 2 days at either place) is around $66.00. However, the second site is for group sales, and I know we can get a better deal that way. It says that early purchase means free tickets. Susan

I see they're opening their own this fall
Cedar Point amusement park/resort will make a big splash with the addition of its new $22 million Castaway Bay indoor waterpark resort scheduled to open in November of 2004. With a tropical Caribbean theme, guests at Cedar Point’s Castaway Bay will feel like they have just landed on an island paradise upon entering this lush indoor waterpark resort.
Maybe we can book Thanksgiving now

Oh wow, it sounds awesome Suzi....but I bet it is a pretty pretty penny. Any hotel to do with Cedar Point is a pretty penny!!! I think I need to start saving my pennies now!!!! Or we can do your Pennsylvania indoor one then. We'll leave it to you to find out prices and details comparing the two places for Thanksgiving now..good idea btw ;D hugs, Robin PS You HAVE to bring Sam when you and Meri come for sure, ok? I wish the guys could all come but two outta four is ok and your dh would love our guys I just bet:D Hey and before I forget..there are some that dont bring a DH with them, like Cathy, maybe you guys could team up and share a room? Cutting costs is what it is all about, even though Cathy is not sure at the moment she can come, I am SURE she'll make it, she always does, she would NEVER let me down or make me cry (now if that isnt a good start to making her feel guilty enough to manage it my name isn't Robin) ;D ;D
