It's more expensive than KI & 6flags.I think it's $43.95 if you're over 48" & $23.95 under. Under 2yrs is free. Parking is $8 a day.Season passes are $199 & Season parking is around $36

OK~I don't want to get too excited but I was talking to Bernie about the Cedar Point trip today and he said we might be able to go. We wont know for sure until it gets closer to the actual date but I'm excited that it's even being considered. So, keep your fingers crossed that it will work out for us. Mary L.

Here are just a few thoughts I've had about this get together....but, if anyone would like to be officially "in charge" of it, please let me know. I officially do NOT want to officially be in charge, and I promise to willingly do whatever the person in charge tells me to do!! That being said....here is what I've thought about.
First of all, I'm thinking Cedar Point might be a bit less crowded on Friday, rather than Saturday. Will everyone be there on Friday? If so, we could go there on Friday.
How much interest is there in the water park? Robin mentioned that she does not want to do both parks, and would rather have more time to hang out at the hotel pool. As much as I love water parks, that plan sounds great to me too. However...I have just one more thought: We love having a picnic with all the families, and maybe Saturday would be a good day to do that. I also noticed that the water park at Cedar Point has a special rate for the evening.....maybe that's like 5pm? So, could we plan a picnic on Saturday and those who wanted to go to the water park in the evening could do that? ~ I think we'll arrive after 5pm on Thursday, and will leave on Sunday at check out time. Does anyone else have other thoughts???

I think the picnic Sat day and cheaper admission to the water park Sat evening sounds like a good idea. I will be out of money by then, so I don't think my family will go to the amusement park part.

Susan, I think that sounds like a good idea. Also it will be Morgan's b-day so maybe we can have cake for her or something to make her feel special. We are very excited about this trip. It is going to be the only one for us this year because we did florida 2x and ohio last year.

I always enjoy the picnics. I think the picnic on Sat. with an evening water park trip for those who want it sounds like a great idea. Still working on Bernie for a definite answer as to whether or not we can go! Mary

Annette~ Sounds like the perfect time for a birthday party for Morgan to me!! We'll be happy to help her celebrate! ~ Mary~ I'm crossing my fingers, toes (and I'll cross my eyes too if that will help!) that Bernie will decide there is noplace he'd rather be than Cedar Point! Can't wait to see you!!

I love the idea of a picnic (and Birthday party for Morgan!!) on Saturday. We too will probably skip the water park in favor of just hanging around the hotel pool area and I know I would definitely prefer to do Cedar Point on Friday - if it's anything like the parks around here the weekends are ridiculously crowded and so much time is wasted standing in lines!!!

We are planning on coming. I looked up Cedar Point and they do have group rates. I can't find my paper now with the rates that I looked up. We would need to know how many are coming and the ages.
I will look into it further.
I like the idea of a picnic on Saturday and the park on Friday.
Sounds good to us.

I talked to a woman at the group sales department of the Holiday Inn in Sandusky today. She is going to call me back tomorrow with specific group rates. One thing she mentioned was that the Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express were adjacent to each other, and that guests could use both pools. The cool part is that generally, Holiday Inn Expresses have GREAT breakfast bars with yummy cinnamon rolls FREE. (Nothing beats FREE breakfast! We have, in years past, spent nearly $30 on breakfast for Terry and Justin and I in order to get the 2 younger kids meals free.....go figure!) ~ Susan

I like the idea of a the park on Friday too, Cedar Point is usually a total ZOO on weekends, and the wait for popular rides can be a couple of hours. So Friday is a much better idea. This is a link to the information about group rates: groups.cedarpoint.com/public/onedaycp/pricing.cfmIf we go before the end of June, we would be considered "early season" and the tickets would be $30.00 per person as opposed to $43.95. Quite a savings. Children 2 and under are free, not just under two. Kids under 48" get in for $23.95.

Kodi Lee is off for Cleveland tomorrow at 5 AM with her school chorus and band to perform at Cleveland State University and one of the perks of the four day trip is a day at Cedar Point A little to early to meet up with you guys but she wanted me to tell Ms. SUSAN that she really wishes you guys were gonna be there this weekend She also said to tell you she will let you know which rides are the BEST of the BEST Of course she will be going on the coaster as its supposed to be the biggest and bestest of coasters ;D
Wish we could join you all in June but just not in the stars for us this time

Now that Dave has a job..I can seriously think once again about doing our Ohio trip. Every thing Susan suggested sounds good to me, including the picnic on Saturday and those who want to go to the water park Saturday night too. So I would be coming on Thursday night and leaving Sunday or Monday depending on if everyone else leaves. So who is all going and I think Mary L now should HAVE to come, since she got everyone all excited about the thought of her bringing the kids and coming!!!! hugs, Robin

I don't know...I'm still really on the fence about it. Sun is Mike's 40th & his choice would be to stay here & do the car show at the local ballfield.I'd be more likely to come alone if it wasn't for all the drama going on with my dad....
