CC, They did not have any children together; they had only been married a little over 4 years. However, he has 2 children from a previous marriage (25 and 16) and she has 2 daughters who are Jordan and Emily's ages. The girls were living with their dad at the time of the accident, but planned to return to my sister's house when school ended. My sister is also the biological mother of my oldest son (I know that sounds confusing, and it IS) Michael. He has lived in CA for the past 5 years and had just recently started to get close to her. In our phone conversations since Wednesday, he has gone from sounding totally "numb" to being firm and supportive of the younger girls and he's basically the one who is making all of the arrangements. HUGE responsibility. The funeral is on Thursday in Tulare, CA. PLEASE continue to pray for my extended family. I want so much for this to be a time for us to come together as siblings and to remain close. (Just the opposite of what happened in the months after my mother's death, 4 years ago)
