Hey Kristi, I briefly talked to Susan before she left for CA and she wasn't even thinking of arrangements tell she got back.
I know we all (well you all, I live here LOL) talked about some place around Six Flags.. there are a few places that way. But I don't think anyone really PICKED a place yet. I know if YOU stay at Six Flags, that would be a ways out for getting into the city for the doc appt, but it can be doable, KWIM?
If someone could just PICK a place, then whoever wants to come can just make their arrangements. I know there is a Holiday Inn and a couple others. If you scroll back up thru this thread, there are some others listed too!
And Kristi, you can email me if you need help finding something since I live here, K?

Thanks A, I know we won't be going to Six Flags, Cody doesn't like that stuff, but we would enjoy meeting everyone at the hotel swimming pool. Hayli can't wait to hang out with Emily. If you guys aren't doing six flags, closer to Illinois side is much better...lol. We wouldn't mind doing the zoo. hugs, Kristi

Ok...I think we should attempt to get an "official" idea of how many people are planning to go to St. Louis. I scanned back through this thread and it looks like the following people were interested: Kristi Susan Adrienne Mary L Donnita Becky Stacey and Kayla Hmmmm...who am I forgetting??? I'm hoping and praying that Debu and her family will be able to make it. Anyone else??? MB....you can't be too far from St. Louie! CONNIE? ? After we see who all is coming, we could sort of do a poll and see how many people want to go to Six Flags. If no one wants to go, my family will be ok with that plan too. We'd be ok with the zoo, or with just spending lots of time in the pool. After our recent CA trip, and the upcoming Cedar Point get together....I'll be thrilled to cut costs and spend lots of time visiting!!! Susan

Hey Susan, Kristi and who ever else is coming to STL... IF Six Flags IS out of the question or too hot.. or both LOL, we DO have a water type park through the parks and rec like we did in Chicago with Mary L. It's by my house through the city we live in and we could go there instead??? There is still the Zoo, although if it is hot, it my be out of the question too. Keep in mind that Six Flags DOES have a water park there too that is included with the six flags ticket. !!! So, for those of us who didn't want to do rides, we could be tubing it!!! Also, I just got a FREE kids ticket coupon with paying adult from a water toy from Walmart. The toy was only 7.84 or so, so that might be worth looking into! It's some wiggly worm type hose thing that hooks to your hose... so... if anyone needs a water toy...!!! You guys should really narrow down where you'd like to stay too!!!! SSOOOOOOOONNN!!! A.

Ok, I was searching for hotel info around Six Flags and it seems its a bit more expensive then coming in a bit closer to STL around where I live. The Days Inn alone is around 95-100$ a night and Days Inn's are suppose to be cheap. Some places at Westport Plaza, closer to our house are 20-30$ cheaper. So.. keep that in mind when figuring out wher you all want to stay. If you come a bit closer to STL , its not that far to 6 Flags. I only live 15 min away from it. I also put a link to Jellystone Park which is a place RIGHT at Six Flags too, but it's more of a camp ground/cabin type of place. Some of the cabins sleep six and the prices seems reasonable. I was looking at the stuff to do there and seems they have tons of activities for the kids and a pool. Only thing is, you have to provide your own bed linens.. but I could help out with that. www.eurekajellystone.com/index.htmlA.

Wow, never knew about that place! Sounds like a great place. Where abouts do you live A. ? (lost my notes ;D) We always had fun just sitting by the pool with everyone. We won't be able to do much, but then again we might only be able to come one day. Just whatever you all decide. hugs, Kristi (Fairview Heights has a Chuckie Cheese ;D...lol, still working alittle closer

Hey Kristi, I live in Manchester, MO. It is in St. Louis County. Maybe we should swap emails as it gets closer so you can give me your doc info too, so we can keep tabs on each other LOL!
P.S. There is a Chuckie Cheese down the street from my house too if you so wish! ;D
Hugs

We're not going to be able to make the St. Louis trip But on a happy note~Bernie and I were talking about Conor's football schedule for the fall and Bernie said what if his football interferes with our vacation. I was like, what vacation?!?!? He said-Dayton. So I guess he already considers it a done deal! BTW~Conor's football schedule won't interfere! So A~are you with me in Dayton?!?!? Mary L.

Mary~ That's TERRIBLE news....about St. Louis. But FANTASTIC news about Dayton!!! So, it's a done deal? COOL!!
A~ The Yogi bear place looks a little interesting......maybe I could talk my buddy Debi into coming and we could share a cabin????? And what's up with an AIR CONDITIONED tent??????? LOL That's what we had in the Grand Canyon too......like 35 degree air!
I think this really depends on if everyone wants to go to Six Flags or not.......if not, then we should stay in ANY safe, clean, area with a great rate and a good pool! If we are definitely going to Six Flags, maybe we should stay a bit closer to it? I'm hoping to just follow directions on this get together.....hint, hint.

Well, far be it for me to step in and direct you all, LOLOLOLOL ::)seeing as I cant even be there!!!!!......... but it seems as if you should really hurry and decide what you are doing and where you are staying...like, I personally think you should stay at a hotel closer to A's house, cause geez, it is only 15 minutes away from 6 flags if you decide to go there and that way you will also have a great pool, (provided you have A go pick the best pool for you all at a low priced cheaper hotel, and that way you can be close to her house so you can spend lots of time there in her little pool and BBQing it too!!!! That will make for a great inexpensive time...cause I really think Susan is going to be broke after I get done with her at Cedar Point, LOLOL, ok, ok I am just kidding about Cedar Point. Ok, so that was just my humble opinion hugs, Robin

Well, Robin, how nice of you to offer your opinion EVEN if you aren't going LMAO! Ok... everyone who IS going to STL and the ones who aren't because they think they can't afford it... Susan and I were talking last night and really looking at the Eureka Jellystone Camping place. It is RIGHT there at Six Flags AND they have all sorts of accomodations.. ranging from bring your own tent, rent a tent and cabins... some are 2 bedroom cabins that possibly TWO families could share!!! HINT HINT (to all of you undecided) Also, there is TONS of stuff to do.. outdoor pool, pool pavilion, train ride, miniture golf, arcade room, movie theater, Yogi's Flea Market LOL, Playground, Outdoor Rec Center, pancake breakfasts... ect... that it truly can be the best place! So... Susan and I would like all of you considering, and even those like Robin who can't but want to help anyway LOL, to look at their website and let us know what you think. www.eurekajellystone.comKristi, I don't know if staying by Six Flags is TOO Far for you since you have to go to the doc.. but it's RIGHT off the 44 so we can get you to and from real easy!!! I'll even drive ya!!!! ;D I was telling Susan that I might stay a night where you all stay. We can STILL BBQ at my house.. BUT, if this place is where you want to stay, we wouldn't have to, we could all BBQ there!!!!! ;D We are getting a tent, so we could save a few $$$ and camp and be there with you guys!!!!! Susan and I were really jazzed about this place and hope you all agree... It does say that you need to bring your own linens and pillows, ect.. but I wouldn't worry about that.. I could help out if needed. Please, everyone... we need your opinion as we need to narrow down something... I know some of you are going to Cedar Point and may not think this is doable.. but if you are a CAMPER... then THIS might work for you!!!!! ;D I will also call right now and ask what IS avail for that weekend we want to do this. K? (did I do good Susan? LOL ) A. P.S. ;D ;D I JUST got off the phone with Jellystone. They still have 2 bed cottages avail but only 1 of the 1 bd cabins left. The cottages have their own bathroom but the cabins and tent sites do not... you have to use their restrooms and showers. But there are still plenty of rent-their-tent sites and bring-your-own-tent sites avail. So... think about it!!!!! She also said I can come anyday of the week and take a peak and all they have. And I could see the rooms if I want too! Also, the girl (really nice girl I might add! ) even said there are planned activites every night... so she said, like that Friday, July 16th, they will be doing CANDYBAR BINGO!!!! How FUN is THAT!!!!! Ok... I am trying to bring out the camper in all of ya... whatdya say??? HUH? HUH? Do I have any campers??? Come on !!!!! If not, let me know so we can decide on a hotel and where! ;D

A~ You did GREAT!!!
I spent a lot of time at the Jellystone website and it looks great to me! We are NOT campers.....but the AIR CONDITIONED tents look ok to me. There is also something on the website for anyone who might not want to stay there, it looks like they could pay something like $4 to use the pool and do the evening activities. What does everyone think?????

It might be doable for us. My sister has a $50 off coupon in the paper for the cottage, if I can find one someone could have that. I think you have to stay 4 nights though but not for sure. I'm doing all this talk and haven't even asked Ron yet, but like I said 1 night should be doable because of the doc visit. hugs, Kristi A: kristi@accessus.net
