Ok I did some checking and I found alot but I will only put the top 4 I liked the best, I just went on Yahoo so if you want to see and add any to my list fell free to do so. 1) Wyndham Garden Hotel Irving Tx, 65.00 a night indoor pool, game room 2) Crowne Plaza Market Center Irving Tx, $75.00 a night in door pool 3) Country Inn Arlington Tx, 56.00 a night, it only has a out door pool but the reason I wrote it down is it said that kids stay and eat free. 4) Courtyard Arlingotn Ballpark Arlington Tx, $85.00 a night, indoor & out door pool, game room and lots of extras, I really like this the best, just let me know what you all think, I just called and for a room with two dbl beds its $99.00 a night or for a king size bed its $89.00, so Im not sure if the price will work if not I liked the 1st one I put down next. Hey, I read that someone said something about a zoo??
There is one here in Dallas and one in Fort Worth. Honestly, the zoo in Fort Worth is better. If you guys want, I will look into group rates, if y'all are interested??
Also there is an aquarium in the West End, here in Dallas. I'll post back with some links!

Okay! I looked into group rates at the Fort Worth Zoo, and they are a dollar cheaper than what they have posted on their site - www.fortworthzoo.com . Also, they offer a package with sack lunches for $4.00 ea. (extra). They include a hot dog, chips, animal crackers, zoo cards, and I believe a drink is included as well. Also the addy for the Dallas World Aquarium is www.dwazoo.com . I haven't been there, yet, but have heard good things about it! I'm all for a Six Flags day myself! Maria

The 18-20th is fine with me. I just have to be back to go to Cedar Point on the 25th or Robin will KILL ME!
If there are enough of us staying at the hotel, we should be able to get a group discount. I called the Courtyard Ballpark hotel but could only leave a message and now must wait for someone to call me back.

I just checked out the six flags site and it has discounts for groups of 10 or more for $19.99 each. You have to buy the tickets in advance but then if you need more tickets when you get there, you can still get them for the same price. And if you buy 20 tickets, you get one free.
This sounds like a great deal, much cheaper than Cedar Point! Their group special is $30 each.

Jackie - OF COURSE Party at my place!!! I have a huge back yard that's FENCED (LOL - for my two escape artists). Plenty of shade trees. No pool though, but I can put up a kiddie pool or two no problem.
I second the opinion of the Ft. Worth zoo. MUCH nicer than Dallas Zoo (what a dump!). Haven't been to the aquarium though so I can't tell you much about it.
Can' t wait to meet y'all!

I have been to the aquarium....its awesome.....my brother had my nephews rehersal dinner there last year....All dressed up fit to kill and ready to sit down and eat...and this HUGE RAT runs right thru our room!!!!!!!!! I would vote for an outing at Six Flags as our fun event and leave time for visiting...Em of course loves the West End but she is the only one old enough for the bars!!!!!!!!!!! I HATE Six Flags myself (old age showing here...hee hee) but Em LOVES it. She had a season pass last year cuz she was spending the summer with her sis in Austin. All sounds great to me...any excuse to visit those grandbabies in Arlington...Em is job hunting so maybe it will just be me...Jackie

The rates at the zoo were quoted for a group of 20 or more. I forgot to post that. Judi, let me know when you get ready to do all this! I'll come over and help! I would volunteer our house, but we live on a very busy street, and the part of the yard that is fenced, well, is the dog's playground! Ya know?? You all let me know the what and hows, and I'll be glad to assist in any way possible!

Best deal I can find on hotels for that weekend is a Holiday Inn Arlington (very close to six flags), not sure if we will do six flags but I think we will try to plan to leave early Saturday June 19th in the morning and spend one night and come back Sunday June 20th. Here is the link for the hotel: www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/hi/1/en/hd/dalan?irs=y

Either Holiday Inn is fine with me, as long as there is a pool. For the midwest get-togethers, we usually stay at a Holiday Inn so I signed up for a HI Priority Card. Eventually I'll go to enough get-togethers that I'll earn a free night's stay.

Have dates been decided yet (or have I just missed it in this thread somewhere) Just need to mark the calendar and make sure I don't make our vacation plans for that weekend!
