Talked to someone in guest relations at Cedar Point today. Here is what she said:
For a group between 15 and 149 people, the group rates are as follows: For kids and adults over 48 inches, the group rate would be $30. For kids UNDER 48 inches, the group rate would be $23. Kids under 2 are free. Parking is $8.
We can sign up and pay ahead of time, and get the tickets sent to us.....but have to have that done by 3 weeks prior to June 25th.
Who wants to go????

So far, it seems like Friday will be the best day for Cedar Point, and Saturday for the picnic. Susan

Just a thought here...... I may be able to get Cedar Point tickets through the hospital where I work for a better price. I know the last time a group of us from work tried to plan a trip there they were less than the group rate at the time (that was 2 years ago). I'll check into it and post what ever prices I can get. I would be able to get as many as we may need. Barb

Finally got an answer at work. They will not be getting Cedar Point tickets, apparently the price they were not offered any discount so it wasn't worth getting them. I plan on checking at our local AAA office to see what their discount would be. I'll post up on that info when I have it.

Susan and everyone else coming to Cedar Point
I pulled up some info on group sales from the Cedar Point website and we need to know how many people are coming and how many adult and children tickets we need. Do you have any idea how many people are coming for sure? We need to know soon in order to get the discount rate of $30 for adults and $23 for junior tickets under 48inches tall. I also saw an application for complimentary tickets for an organization or group which I will try to complete to see if our group could qualify. It is worth a shot but they need to know how many tickets we would need.

Joyce....somehow I missed the last post by you until just now. Do you think it is too late to get group tickets? If so, that price beats anything we've seen so far. We have one coupon for up to six tickets at $8 off an adult ticket. That's still not as good as the group price. Susan

Susan,
Your right the group sales tickets are cheaper, $30.00. The only bad thing about group sales is that since it is less than 3 weeks away we can't get the tickets up front in the mail. They also wanted payment up front too which we could not do since I did not know how many tickets to order and we did not have the payment. They said that if it is at least a week away we would have to prepay also and then pick up the tickets at the gate that morning, which would be Friday morning. I don't know if we could do that either since we do not have an exact count of how many adult and how many junior tickets. They also want the payment up front which would be hard since it is a week from this Friday. I think the only way to do that would be to use a credit card to prepay which I could do, but then how many tickets and it also means that we would have to get at the park the same time in the morning since one person can only pick up the tickets. I will try and call them again. I kept getting a busy signal the other day. I do have a few more coupons that my sister got in the mail that give you $9.00 off on six tickets and $5.00 off on junior tickets for those under 48 inches tall. So the regular tickets would 34.95 and the junior tickets would be 19.95. I also have one of these coupons from my mother for the same thing good for six tickets of each which someone can use. I will bring these along too if we can't get the group ticket rates. I also received one of these coupons in the mail too. I will bring whatever extra ones we have to share.

Susan,
I was not able to get through to the group rate number everytime I tried it was busy. I guess we waited too long. I will bring whatever coupons I can get together with me.
Can't wait to see everyone again.
