Slap me Susan but have you told anyone that besides dealing with Justin's health issues..you are dealing with the worse knee in the world yourself and the pain is tremendous? So not only does she need Justin prayers she needs Susan prayers that the horrible awful painful new shots she is getting will work so she can hold off surgery til summer is over. (we may be pushing her behind around in a wheelchair at the conference!) Hugs to you SusiQ, I love ya kid, let me know how it goes today at the dr office. Robin

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR No call from our doc yesterday as promised. So, Today I called her office and talked to her nurse. She said (in typical "let me get this woman off the phone language") "We need to get the reports from the ER and review them and we'll call you back. Hmmmm nice try. I explained that ALL the ER reports had been reviewed with me by the nurse practitioner last week and every one of them were normal.......but Justin was still having occasional chest pain and rapid heart rate and elevated blood pressure. She said "Oh!!!! Ok, then I'll have to call you back after I talk to the doctor". Then, I got busy with my work and didn't look at the clock till it was after 5pm, and she never did call back. Tomorrow is a holiday, so no way to talk to her till at least Thursday. FRUSTRATING!!
I know Justin isn't feeling "right" because our church was having a cook out tonight, followed by a softball game and fireworks and Justin said there was no way he was able to play softball. Sigh.........

Oops!! Sorry Robin.......didn't see your post till after I did mine. And YES, I have whined about my knee here many times!!! Today was shot number 3, and coincidentally today was the worst day (pain-wise) I've had since the knee problems began. I'm really hating the idea of a new metal knee!

Hang in there and let me know if I should make arrangements for a wheelchair. Actually, it would be a good idea Susan.

Still praying for both you and Justin...believing for a full recovery for both of you guys!!

At the risk of repeating myself LOL... Susan... PLEASE ask them for Justin to wear an "event" monitor for a month. Even if that means you have to get it from the heart doc. My regular GP can give us ours but some places don't have them and you can get one from the heart doc.
Because.. if he is having what I have..it won't show up on some of the regular tests, office EKG nor the 24 hour monitor. He NEEDS that event monitor!!!
And...the beta blockers won't work then if he is only to take them "when they happen".. he might need them all the time. I know I do.
Good luck!!!

Prayers from here too. Wow to find out that he had a heart problem and didn't even know! I am sure he is a courageous young man and he will do fine.

Susan...did you tell MB yes to the wheelchair yet just in case? I really think it is a good idea because 1. after reading the fun fact flyer it is obvious there is a great deal of walking to be done 2. we want to see everything and you yourself said you have a horrible limp 3. after dancing Friday night you may not even be able to get out of the bed to walk come Saturday morning 4. how do you plan on walking around for three days? 5. things are from one end to the other and I'd hate for you to miss PLINKO and 6. (darn I was trying for david Letterman's top ten) you yourself said you don't want to be confused for my old incapacitated mother or much older sister with that 86 year old limp of yours, saw those words with my own eyeballs!!!! I just want you toenjoy yourself Susan...come on, what do you say? There will be lots of us to push you around, and think of the fun I can have if I find a really cute single guy...I could push you right into him and say "ohhhhhh my excuse me" ;D OR when we go swimming...I could wheel you right to the pool edge and dump you in ;D ;D ;D ;D, yeah, this is sounding better and better!!!!!...yes MB, I'll make the decision for her, PLEEEEEZE make arrangements for a wheel chair! ***** :-/Ok seriously, all kidding aside, she needs one, she can hardly walk and is having surgery as soon as she is back from the conference. Sure was fun to imagine all those really bad things I could of done to you if I was a really bad friend though ::)LOL love ya Qsie Robin

ROFL Adrienne............surely you jest! I'd bust that nice stroller in a sec!!! Robin, I have planned all along to call and ask about a motorized wheelchair or a regular wheelchair, but was whining to you last night about how OLD I knew I'd look!! I'll be sure to call the hotel; wouldn't dream of asking MB to be in charge of that on top of everything else she's doing!!! I think I have procrastinated because I've hoped my knee would miraculously get better by conference time.........no such luck. As for JUSTIN, thank you all so much for your prayers and continued kind words. He is feeling MUCH better now that the medicine is totally out of his system, and it seems when he has the pains, they are farther down in his rib cage............more in the area of the left side of his upper abdomen. The doc still thinks it could be more of a GI thing. His blood pressure have been a bit better lately. Going back to our family doc soon. NOW, what do we do about that pesky ADHD stuff? ? He's a GREAT kid, but man!!!!! Even Emily says "GOSH JUSTIN, What's the matter with you" Susan

That is good Susan. You know, I am more worried now about Josh and his medications. They truly make such a difference socially!!! He doesn't see the difference at all, but I try to gently point out how his energy is too much for people some times.
If Ryan could talk clearly, he'd probably say the same thing Emily does!!!
Thanks for the update!
