Hi, Just letting you know I ams till alive, since I haven't been here for a while ;D
I feel kind of guilty and am making no other excuses then I was pretty busy.
Just a little update. The inquiry with Human Rights regarding Adam regarding the neglect he received at school is finally starting in September. I am happy but also scared to death, as this will hit the media. But hey I didn't;t get a stroke from all the stress of all it took to get us here for 2 years to just drop everything here.
Actually I can;t really blame the stroke for this it is more the type of family we are. No one should be treated the way our child was and get away with it. It will not help our son in any way or undo the damage done, but Hey! anyone working with a special need child that sees or reads this in the media will think twice about doing it to another child, I am hoping.
Also here is a link for a petition that would ask you to please sign.
It's a Canadian link so hopefully you can sign it or find the American link through this one.
Today, about 90% of children diagnosed with Down syndrome are aborted in North America. That percentage is comparable for children diagnosed with other conditions such as spina bifida, dwarfism, cystic fibrosis etc. If screening programs are extended, attitudes, education and awareness programs should also be extended. Support and access to information about the condition can make all the difference to a woman trying to make an informed and difficult decision.
In the U.S. Senators Kennedy and Brownback recently re-introduced the ‘Prenatal and Postnatal Diagnosed Condition Awareness Act’. The NSDSS started a petition to urge our Canadian political leaders to create a similar bill. This act will ensure that prospective and new parents have access to reliable information about the diagnosed condition and connections with support groups are made. It should also provide for the establishment of awareness and education programs for health care providers etc. Creating this act could mean another important step towards a collective recognition of the value of each unique individual.

Thank you for making a difference and I promise to come back at least once a week.
Ok now I have to go and catch up on all the gossip I missed and read some post ;D ;D ;D.
