Thanks again for all the prayers and positive thoughts - again, I think .... no, I KNOW they worked!!! ;D He had the angiogram, and the doc found an artery that was 90% blocked. Doc put in a stint, and my dad is (medically speaking) doing terrific. It was really cool because the doc actually had pictures of his heart. He showed us one before picture with the blockage, and then one after the stint was put in. I want to frame them and put them in his bedroom My mom and I went home to rest right after the procedure was done. We went back a few hours later and he was in CCU. He wasn't supposed to sit up for 6 hours. So what does he do when we go in? Yep, he sits up and starts acting like a major butt! He was so darn rude to my mom (my mom just found out that her baby sister, who is suffering from lung cancer, now has a cancerous spot on her brain ) so I get the nurse and she tells him he has 3 choices - bleed out externally, internally, or lie down and recover. I LOVE HER! I told my dad to knock off the attitude - we had had enough!!! He was a little nicer after that. Larry just said "NOW we know where Ryan gets his stubbornness from" LOL! Anyway - this makes 8 angioplasties. He is one lucky guy, and has one terrific doc. Thanks again! Jodi

Jodi, I'm glad to hear he is doing better. My mom had a stint put in about 10 years ago and has had no problems since. You are a great daughter looking after your parents ! Glad you approve of all the nurses and doctors....they sound like he is in excellent care.....

WOOOOO HOOOOO!!! Such good news, Jodi! Man though, he sounds like my dad, being not very nice to my mom and me and other people trying to help. I think maybe you're right and we were sisters separated at birth. Reading your post was like reliving some of my own dad-related hospital experiences. Makes you want to hug them and strangle them at the same time, huh? LOL!
