Age Requirements There is no maximum age limitation for participation in Special Olympics. The minimum age requirement for participation in Special Olympics competition is 8 years of age. I volunteered at the Special Olympics office here where I live and I found out at a Coach's conference that the age was eight to compete. We have a great Special Olympic's here. Alot of people volunteer and help out.
