I just wanted to let you all know that my father is finished, I think, with his radiation treatments. Remember, I had shared with you during the summer that my Dad has Prostate Cancer? He is finished I think with the other kind of treatment, the radiation, but he did have a shot in his stomach the last time he went to see his cancer doctor. I am not quite sure what kind of shot it was exactly. I appreciate your kind words. It is a scary time but I know that we will make it through this.
I am still giving myself shots for my Osteoporosis. For those who are new, I have Osteoporosis. I was diagnosed a year ago this past March. At my last yearly health examination, I was shown my ex- ray to see my bones are doing. The Forteo shot is working! I have the Osteoporosis in my spine. I just thought I would let you all know.

Debbie
Glad to hear the good news about your osteoporosis! I am glad there were able to find a successful treatment.
We will continue to keep your Dad in our prayers. The radiation treatment isn't fun, glad that is through. Hope the rest of the treatment goes well.

Debbie,
I'm so glad your treatment is working. I will keep both you and your dad in my prayers. It is always so frightening to see a parent become ill. I'm happy that he seems to be doing much better. Please keep us posted.

Debbie, I will keep good thoughts for you and your dad. Sounds like you both are on the right path.
I left the boards a few years ago but remember you. You are a blessing to many of us. Thank you.

Kim,
I remember you from somewhere. I am not sure exactly which Down syndrome forum you were on. I have an idea where I think you might have been. I used to be on one of the Down syndrome forum's. I am glad you are on here. This website has some structure so you might like it better.

Debbie...glad to hear you are doing so well with your shots! Osteoporosis is nasty stuff...but isn't it wonderful they have treatment for it now. You are a good reminder that people here need to get a bone density test. Here is the site you can check it out on and see if you are at risk. www.nof.org/Jackie

Debbie I'm glad to hear that your shots are working for you, I think medicine can be amazing sometimes, how you can see for yourself on an x ray that it is working, it must make having to do the injection a bit easier, I don't know if I would be brave enough to do it myself I will carry on thinking about you and your Dad Lorraine
