There is no Sam's Club nearby, but there is a Super Walmart in Pigeon Forge.

Deanna, They won't charge your credit card/debit card when you book your room. You can ask them when you call, but I believe they told me we could cancel the room at around 2 weeks beforehand. (Or you could possibly switch your room to someone else's name if it turns out you can not go?) We'd love to see your family!!

When I booked our room I asked what the latest was that I could cancel and they said the room was booked with the 1st day as Friday so I could cancel all the way to the Wed's before so at least with in 48 hours.
Boy O Boy only 96 more days, LOL

Yes, I think they told me 48 cancelation policy.. which is what most if not all hotels are.
I WILL say if gas goes up much more it's going to make it very difficult to make it there!!!!

A, Maybe we should all start putting back $$ while the gas is still at the current price to help with the costs in July! I know this is a totally different situation, but I remember several years ago when we decided we would take our kids to Disney World for a surprise vacation.........lol they thought we were only going to the beach, and they were VERY surprised! (It was so sweet to watch them as they saw the advertisements on the road for Disney and all the other parks, and when they would ask if we could possibly go to one of the parks, I'd say "Maybe in a few years". Then we got a bit closer and I couldn't hold it in any longer!) Anyway, a few days before we left home, gas prices rose to about $1.34 per gallon. I looked at DH and said "do you think there is any way we can still go" ?? I really believed that no one could possibly travel with gas at $1.34. LOL What I'd give for it to be that price now!!!!!

Well, they keep saying gas will be over $3 in the Summer. BUT.. they've said that plenty before and I haven't seen it... yet. But if it gets too high, then man, it will be tough and if it gets too high, I just don't know if we could do it. I'm going to hold out that gas doesn't get too high.. but it's about $2.57 to $2.60 right now. It was that high many many months ago, then it's been low for awhile.. now back up on the high side again... it needs to stop!!! LOL

It definitely needs to stop!! We live right on the coast, so I don't know if that's why it's higher here, but the cheapest place around today was $2.75. Both of our vehicles are GAS GUZZLERS too - it's bad when you have to figure a couple hundred dollars just for gas to take a trip - ugh! Not that it did one single bit of good, but back when it got really high the first time - I e-mailed the president a couple of times. I know that HE never seen my e-mails, but somehow it just made me feel better to vent about it!!

As for gas.....we hit over $3.00 last summer. We are at $2.89 today!!!!!!!! A....you said you already paid for the hotel? ? Does that mean they run the card when you book? ?? I haven't clled to book yet. Trying to switch weekends with the ex.....it falls on his w/e. Deanna
