Has anyone taken their kiddos to see the Hannah Montana/Jonas Brothers concert that is in theaters? What was your take? DId they like it?
Debating whether to take my girls--the 3 d thing isn't something Kaylee usually puts up with--but it's always been at Disney where the bugs life is a bit frightening or something like that. I'm wondering if she would wear the 3D glasses--over her glasses--and if she took them off whether she would be able to see clearly without them??
any thoughts?

"and if she took them off whether she would be able to see clearly without them??" Hmmm K, Cindy do you mean if Kaylee took off her regular glasses or the 3D glasses?? Chris hates using the 3 D glasses but when I do get him to use them, with a bit of a fight LOL he wears them over his regular glasses. I myself wear glasses and we did the 3 D stuff at Disney and I had to wear them over my glasses Chris has no interest in Hannah Montana but Kodi who happens to be home this weekend is going tomorrow night with her girl friend Just from my experience at things that you wear 3 D for I am thinking without wearing them it just won't be the same KWIM, but I will ask Kodi after she goes what she says. I would love an update after you go Susan. Emily doesn't wear glasses--or does she? Can't remember..
CC-- I meant if she didn't wear the 3D. She might wear them if she knew there weren't going to be bugs jumping out at her..who knows. We also just bought tickets to see a our High Schools production of Grease--which our whole family will love--especially Sam--we're all into musicals these days!
Googsmom--I'm not sure what part of OR you're in..we're in Hillsboro and we'd have to go to Bridgeport Village to see the concert..out near Tualatin-- cindy

I asked Katie today if Hayden was going to see the movie since she just went to the actual concert...and she said that someone else would have to take her because she (katie) can't do 3-D because she has an uncorrected lazy eye and it makes her sick to try and look at the screen. She also said she read a review of it in People magazine that said to...wait for the DVD ...so I guess it WILL be released. Can't imagine Disney NOT doing that...LOL.
Have fun!!!!!

Cindy, It was AWESOME!!!! We had so much fun! The 3D glasses weren't the cheap little ones I've used before at Amusement parks where the ear pieces are cardboard, and the lenses are flimsy.....if that makes sense. (Those are sort of hard to even keep on your face!) Emily and most of the kids in the audience eagerly put on the glasses the minute we got in our seats, and she didn't take them off till the end. (She is really far sighted and only wears her glasses to read) I am also far sighted and don't wear my glasses to watch movies, but I did put the 3D glasses over the top of my regular glasses just to see how it would feel to Kaylee. The 3D ones are large enough to easily fit over regular glasses.
The cool thing about the concert was that it was like everyone had a GREAT seat! Much better than I ever could afford at a regular concert, that's for sure!! But....there were several times when it did look like things were coming toward us. (Several times, Hannah threw drum sticks and it looked like they were coming toward the audience) It wasn't scary though. We've been to a show at California Adventure (A Bug's Life) where things were constantly flying toward us, and this wasn't anything like that.
Also...........without the glasses, things are fairly blurry and you don't get the dimensional effects at all.
I hope you all totally enjoy it!
Susan

Thx Cindylou... I'm in Molalla and there was nothing this side of the river. I knew i'd have to go to the "big city". Actually I was just in Lake Oswego yesterday and B Village isn't that far away. 45 min or so. Thanks for the tip. I was worried i'd have to go all the way into Portland. Uggg scary stuff there I only go to VA and Dorenbeckers.. that's it in Portland. I'll call tomorrow for show times. Yeaaaaa. What a big help

K, got you now Cindy Not sure but any thing I have been to with 3 D its not clear or that enjoyable without the glasses. No review here for you as unbelievable to me, Kodi and her g/f's tried to go last night and figured it would be jammed all day with young teens so they went off to the 9:45 PM show and it was SOLD out Hmmm so then they tried to get tickets for the later 11 something show and that too was also SOLD out. Guess lots of young ones got to stay up late for this. Anywho what I did want to tell you is the 3-D glasses we used recently at Disney were plastic not the cardboard ones, just like using sunglasses KWIM Hope Kaylee enjoys it and if your area is anything like this area go early for tickets CC ~
