Oh, and another thing, that woman seems to like monkey's too much. Hmm, maybe she's just confused?

She puts these on eBay every once in awhile. I've looked at them before. Here's the thing . . . her specialty is making monkeys. (Look at her auction history.) She probably means well, but all her dolls look like monkeys. It makes me very uncomfortable. No one could even tell Joshua had DS when he was a little baby, unless we pointed it out and they started looking. I haven't seen any tiny babies with DS where it was immediately apparent. And, if it was, they sure didn't look like a monkey.

I sent her a message; very politely asking her to please take an objective look at this doll and realize that it truly is offensive and scary. I don't want to offend her, but goodness! I don't think parents of babies with Ds should have to see that! I did notice that she has 0 bids on it. Wonder why!!!

Some might call it art. I find all of her "work" ghastly at best . Now, Jackie and her Emily - there are real artists! Just fantastic!

Interesting thing...........we got a response from the message I sent to her. She basically just said thank you for the comment. But then she added "check him out now"! (And added God bless you). I went back to look at him, and he was as ugly as ever. What's up with that???

I have not got a message back yet but i did notice she took the boy "doll" off and put a new boy "doll" on. Doesn't look as bad but the eyes are still horrible. I think our kids have beautiful eyes. They are the gateway to the soul. I did see the girl "doll" has 1 bid

I also sent her a message and simply asked her why does she make these dolls look so unhappy - doesn't she know how happy that babies and children with Ds are?!? She e-mailed me back and told me that she adopted 2 children with Ds when they were babies!!!

WOW! She did take away all references to Ds on that doll! The weird thing is that if you click on her Ebay store, there is another doll..........one that says newborn baby with Down syndrome. And THAT doll is really pretty good to me! Doesn't look at all like a monkey and has a pretty mouth. Go figure!
