Our dogs are Pavlova (Lovey, for short) and Lou Henry (named after Herbert Hoover's wife). Cassie can't say "Lou" yet, it comes out as "Shoo,"which is confusing - "Shoo! Come here!"

OK this thread has me ROFLMAO!!!! I love it. Hey Chester.. what do you mean you USE to have a cat named Chester? Now I feel bad calling you Chester if there is really no Chester around? LOL And I did know someone that named their dog D.O.G. LOL Ok... we are not the biggest pet owners, currently or growing up. We had a cat growing up named Susie. She was a tabby that wasn't really a long haired but had a PLUME tale like a persian or a plume you'd write with, so my her full name was SUSIE LA PLUME. My mom named her and always has to have last names of full names for her cats. Then, she brought home a mutt from work since the guys at her work said to take it to the pound. I was like 5 at the time. It was some terrier/whippit looking mix.. and to be honest.. she was an awful experience for me at 5. NOT loving, ect..we think she was probably abused or whatever... she was unattentive, ect.. made me really never like dogs.. we called her Chipper... but her full name (again from my mom) was Chocolate Chip and we also called her Chipparoo. LOL My first boyfriend brought me home a cat when I was really sick, I was 19 at the time. He wanted some FAT OLE MEAN CAT and named it Butch.. LMAO.. FAR FROM IT! Butch had a lazy eye and I think was seriously MR. Seriously.. he had issues, had depth perception issues, couldn't jump to and from things and stared at the walls for hours and his shawdow and not moved. And he was NEVER fat or mean. He was very petite for his size.. smallest cat we ever owned.. but man I loved that cat!!! When we broke up 6 months later I got the cat and we had to put him to sleep actually a while later, he had a whole in is bladder or something... Peritonitis? However you spell it. Anywhoooooo My grandma had a Siamese named Cleo we adopted when she past away. And a Burmese I think it was.. named Toshi we too took over. Toshi thought he was a bulldog though LMAO... he was a goofy thing and walked to "bulldog" like... he was whacky! My mom got a cat named Molly we had too. I briefly had a kitten before I found out I was pregnant with Regan. Can't remember his name but he looked like a miniature version of my neighbor's cat across the street.. but I can't remember it's name!!! Had to do with his tale because it look like someone stuck a BLACK stick on this cat's end LOL. Now.. we just have OREO the bunny.. I bet you can figure out why We did have a goldfish when Regan was about 5. His name was Flip because when you came by the bowl he flipped his tale and sometimes he flipped out of the bowl.. it was trippy. That .25 cent fish lived for like 2 yrs with us and I was the one sad when he died . We had a couple other fish but it just wasn't the same.. don't even remember names. Oh.. and I had a hamster growing up that my dog killed.. nice huh!? Don't remember that name either.. I suck, I know! Now we have become surrogates to our neighbor's Manx across the street... FRED. Now he rocks! He is big and fat and saunters everywhere.. and EVERYONE thinks he is ours. heehee... he and Oreo don't mind each other, he has come in our house quite a few times and we just love him. We will miss him ALOT and our neighbor actually thought about giving him to us when we moved!!! His pic is on my desktop computer screen right now LOL. Ok.. I think i am rambling.. this was fun though.. thanks! A.

A~Chester was our favorite cat, and I sure don't mind being called that ; )
Chester was the only cat that we've ever declawed, neutered etc. When we lived on the hobby farm he met "Bully" the barn cat, who didn't belong to us. Bully picked a fight with Chester. Chester ended up with a really bad infection, and we had to put him to sleep. Darn "bully"!

Gee, as old as I am, there have been many dogs...Porkey, Molly, Dutchess, Fritz, Long John Silver, Bo, Scruffy, Bingo, and now Fritz and Bubbles. The cats were Smokey Joe, Feathers, Remmington Steel, Flash, Sinbad, Tucker, Riskey and Rebecca. The horses were Sad Richard (so I was five), Jiggs, Dusty, Susie, Scooter, and Buzzy.
Fritz is a Chihuahua/dachshund mix and Bubbles is a Maltese/Bichon mix. She fits her name. Fritz is a sweet little dog who never barks, and can't go to sleep at night unless he snuggles next to me...and under the covers. A couple of nights ago I was laying on top of the covers, and it took a couple of tries for me to convince Fritz that my nightgown was a ONE BODY GOWN and that he could NOT crawl up under it.
I'm the consumate pet lover.

Yes she did! I was impressed because when asked to name a pet or doll or whatever she usually names them what the object name is(dolls are all named "baby") This was her idea. I guess that was on her mind at the time! She loves birthday cake!

We have two large dogs named Chester and Gordon. A friend says that sounds like names for a pair of Draft horses.
Soo.. they do pull. I put them on long leashes. My younger son in his wheelchair (special needs babyjogger) I stand on my older son's razor scooter. One hand holds two leashes and a wheelchair handle, The other hand holds the other wheelchair handle and the scooter handle. I tell the dogs to "walk on". AND IT WORKS. But there is no way to steer. If a squirrel or cat is sighted. I would let go of the dogs. Jump off the scooter and HOLD that wheelchair. It is just to much to keep track of. I tryed it once. That is enough.

I love the Ricola one, gotta remember that one for our next pet. ;D We have Faryn and Golden Retriever named after her mother at the National Service Dogs Association. Solomon our cat is all black and huge and spooky looking, he also got his name form the Humane Society when we adopted him. Our daughter (10) had a hamster named Serenity, she now has a long ear bunny named Buster and a newt named Napoleon. Don't know why she got the names. Just thought I'd join in. ;D ;D

You guys are too funny. We had a Minature Doxson, sorry if Imisspelled that, we named Fritzi. Her full name was Frauline Fritzi. My father liked Fritzi and I think my Mom came up with Frauline. I am not real sure on that to be honest. My Dad was working in Lubbock at the time. When we bought her she was very small and very black. We would drive up to Lubbock so he could see her. We would walk her around the park there. Before her we had a Doberman. My Dad named her Greta, High Plains Greta. Yes, for the most part they had two two names. A few dogs didn't. Greta was a wonderful pet. She was not as muscular and big as some doberman's can be. I still miss her to this day. We were best buds. I fed her and brushed her every day. She loved it. We watched TV together too. The only thing I didn't like was that twice she ate my food! It was a miracle she didn't get sick, especially after she ate the fudge brownies. She was only thirsty.

My first cat was black with yellow eyes and I named her Topaz. My 2nd started out as Smokey because he was gray but after watching this tiny kitten follow the other around all day he became Shadow. But the best cat names I ever heard of were in the book Karen. One of the people in the book had 2 Siamese named Hey You and Who Me.
