Another trick to help you get a sweet tooth under control is to avoid all sweet drinks - even diet drinks. The sweetness in them encourages your sweet tooth to flourish. Trade in the sweet drinks for non-sweet, or at least very, very low sweetness, like very lightly sweetened iced tea, and learn to like coffee with just creamer or black. The calories in the creamer are nothing to the candy bar you crave because of putting Splenda in your coffee! Of course plain ol' water is the best, and the good news is that the more often you forgo other drinks for water, the more you will like the taste of pure water Chris too

Oh Chris, say it isn't so!!!!! I've never liked diet drinks at all (I LOVE Coke, but would rather have just about anything over Diet Coke!), but I've learned to like a few of them over the past few years...............Fresca is awesome, Diet A & W root beer is tolerable, and Crystal Light pink lemonade is my all time favorite! But sigh.......I'm learning to gladly drink more and more water.
I found this recipe a year or two ago from Weight Watchers, and have loved it ever since! I don't remember the exact point value for it, but it was surprisingly low! I'm not actually following WW now.......counting calories instead. So, I don't really know the calorie count for this, but it is VERY filling and SO much lighter in calories than the loaded potato soup I usually like!
3 cans 94% fat free vegetable broth (or is it 96 % fat free??) 2 lbs frozen hash brown potatoes (The kind that are chopped into little squares, not shredded up)
Put both of these into a big pot and bring to a boil. Then put a cup of skim milk and one package of Pioneer Country Gravy Mix into a container with a lid (plastic container with tight lid, etc) and shake it till it's totally mixed and then fold into the potato/broth mixture. Stir well and turn the heat down to simmer till it thickens. It's REALLY good!
Susan (BTW...........I'm now down six pounds!)
