Love and Learning for an older child?

I know that some of you here have used the Love and Learning program for your younger children with success. I was wondering if it would be good for Courtney who is 15. She knows almost 200 sight words but still cannot read the words in books, newspapers, ect.
Anyone have any thoughts on this? Do you think it would help and if so should I start with the first set?
