OK... when you wake up late on Saturday morning worried that your child missed the bus! when you can't find the phone because you put it in the fridge. when you tell your friend hold on, "I need to change the baby and feed the diaper" when your neighbor has to stop you to pull the price tag off the back of your new dress. I'm o.k, really!

Dawn,
I have sooooo been there, done that! I put the phone in the DISHWASHER once a few years ago. That was a darn good phone, cuz when it dried out it still worked, and continued to work for another good five years or so.
And that late for the bus thing....I about fell on the floor laughing in relief. I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only one! What a rotten way to wake up, heart pounding, pulse racing......LOL!!
Googsmom, Girl, you just need to drink your coffee BLACK!!! Then you don't have to worry about putting the wrong stuff in, LOL!!!! We joke in our house about how my family is taking their own life in their hands if they approach me before I've had my coffee. I tell people it would be more efficient if I could just have someone put in an IV and get it over with that way!

Oh, I think we've all been there! Single parenting makes it tougher, and parenting a child with special needs tougher yet! Don't know about you, but I was forever thinking I needed to be doing something else, stimulating him somehow, researching new stuff for him. I remember at one point if I sat down for even just a couple minutes, I'd feel guilty, thinking I needed to be doing something with him! I'm better, able to just enjoy him for him and not knock myself out so much! Try to just have fun....and it's ok to pop a video in and let him zone out while you sit and read a magazine! And have that margarita Deane was talking about!

Dawn, I hope you find some "me" time...I know it's tough to do and if you can't seem to get some time, I agree with Valerie....sometimes, we just gotta put in that video and get 1 hour of quiet time... Guilt FREE!!! You deserve it!

I have to add one more... I was just telling my neighbor... "ok, I'll go check it out before Jelani gets home from work" meant "school" of course and she was cracking up... I still need that break, obviously...

When the thought of a Margarita is verrrry tempting - yep, you need a break! I wish I could arrange a sitter (dd is 14) and come kidnap you for a few hours, but California is just tooooo far away.
