Finished reading Jodi Piccoult's "Nineteen Minutes". I enjoy her books, very thought provoking. This one was about a shooting at a high school, both sides of the story. also about how people hide their true selves. This was probably one of her best.

Sharon ~ I am about 1/2 way done with this one and its for a sure a book I find hard to put down. I can't wait to finish it but on the same hand when I love a book like I do this I want it to last at the same time, KWIM The only problem I found with this book for me, was in the beginning I was having trouble keeping up with the story line, she seems to bounce around alot. BUT I got a hold on it LOL and honestly so far I love the book. CC~

CC
I know what you mean, it did bounce around, and at first I had trouble keeping track of the characters, but I did get a handle on it, and couldn't put it down. I think I finished it about 1 am one night!
Can't wait until you finish, I want to hear your take on the ending.

Sharon ~ I finished this book last week and OMG I really loved it, kept my attention the whole time. The ending YIKES I was very shocked have to say. Very tough subject, touching many emotions for sure but OMG this author really seem to touch the compassion from all sides, least I thought so. I for sure give this book a thumbs up CC ~

I couldn't agree more. I went back and read the last couple of chapters again, just because of the way it ended. Really makes you think about your own kids, choices made, and why those choices are made. Kelly will be 13 soon, and this book showed me, that even though I know how important true, honest communication is, it really drove it home even further.
Her books really are good. I have read several others, My Sister's Keeper, The Pact. Will have to look up the actual titles.

I read The Pact, and it is good. I'm quickly becoming a Jodi Picoult fan! I've also read The 10th Circle, which will be shown as a movie on Lifetime the last saturday of this month. It's also a great read!

Yes, The Pact is very good. And another that as a parent of teens, or one and one about to be a teen, really makes you think. I know you would enjoy that one also.

I finally finished Nineteen Minutes. It has a powerful reminder to parents of teenagers, as well as some other important messages. If you like Jodi Picoult this one is good! I was really surprised by the ending. It was pretty emotional for me. As I work with teenagers all of the time, it was a good reminder for me to remember to listen more carefully.

I just picked this book up at the library yesterday !! I have read most of her books...and she always has some twist at the end that you don't see coming.... I read the Pact a couple of times.....I'm not sure how I felt about it.....I don't think I liked the overall message at all.....that book left me feeling very troubled for some reason..... The tenth Circle, I did like....and it will be a movie on Lifetime next Saturday ( June 28 ) ....I already have my remnder set on the TV.....
