;D ;D ;D ;D YUP LOL This has been my favorite song Liv n I have sung and everytime I heard it I thought of her. Pre-Seinfeld last episode lol.
Another turning point; a fork stuck in the road.
Time grabs you by the wrist; directs you where to go.
So make the best of this test and don't ask why.
It's not a question but a lesson learned in time.
It's something unpredictable but in the end it's right. I hope you had the time of your life.
So take the photographs and still frames in your mind.
Hang it on a shelf In good health and good time.
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial.
For what it's worth, it was worth all the while.
It's something unpredictable but in the end it's right. I hope you had the time of your life.
It's something unpredictable but in the end it's right. I hope you had the time of your life.

My favorite song and my boy-friend's, is Somewhere Out There. Linda Ronstad and James Ingram sang it. Steve heard it before I did and prayed for someone that was like him out there. Later we met. It is my ulitimate favorite because Linda sings it. The song gives me shivers. "Some where out there where dreams can come true?" I think these are some of the words...........Debbie

It is strange really that I only sing nursery rhymes with Stevie. We all sing together lots of things, but for Stevie, it's just nursery rhymes. To put her to sleep, though, I recite "The Tale of Benjamin Bunny" by Beatrix Potter - with a Brittish accent & voices for the dialog. Knocks her out every time, though sometimes she's muttering "bunny" or "coat, shoes" as she drifts off

Oh NO!! Could it be I am as crass or musically inept as Bob? ;D LMAO!!!
Ok.. so just Bob and I don't have songs for our kids... I have a song with my husband.. but nothing for any of my children...
I might have to go find some songs?
Regan did like Footloose when she was little and wanted to marry Kenny Loggins when she was around 7 years old... does that work? LOL

I can tell you for certain that I'm musically inept. LOL.
I don't really have any songs for my kids. Well, not those kinds of songs. I make up little songs for each of them. They're personal little songs that I made up for each of them. And they each had a song that we sang to them while I was pregnant. Oliver got "The Ants Go Marching One by One" and Sebastian got "Little Bunny Foo Foo."
But "I Hope You Dance" does make me think of my kids and can bring a tear to my eye. Probably other songs, too. But I'd have to give that a think.

This is a great conversation!! In my house music is on ALL the time...Buffet is usually the genre of choice- all of my kids automatically yell 'salt, salt, salt' like Pavlov's dogs during "Margaritaville"...but I digress! When I was pregnant with James, I would listen to the Dixie Chick's "Cowboy Take Me Away". I am surprised he didn't come out singing it! Once he was old enough to care about music, his songs of preference were (are) Itsy Bitsy Spider and 3 Little Fishys (not sure if that is the actual name).
Susan, as a total aside, I have a story about "Beautiful In My Eyes". When planning our wedding, hubby and I decided our first dance would be to Dr. Hook's "Years From Now". As we are standing on the dance floor for the first time as husband and wife, he says to me something along the lines of "Don't be mad, but"... and then Kadison's song begins. He changed it because he said I would always be beautiful in his eyes!
Anyway, here are the lyrics to the Chicks' song: I said I wanna touch the earth I wanna break it in my hands I wanna grow something wild and unruly
I wanna sleep on the hard ground In the comfort of your arms On a pillow of bluebonnets In a blanket made of stars
Oh it sounds good to me I said
Cowboy take me away Fly this girl as high as you can Into the wild blue Set me free oh I pray Closer to heaven above and Closer to you closer to you
I wanna walk and not run I wanna skip and not fall I wanna look at the horizon And not see a building standing tall
I wanna be the only one For miles and miles Except for maybe you And your simple smile
Oh it sounds good to me Yes it sounds so good to me
Cowboy take me away Fly this girl as high as you can Into the wild blue Set me free oh I pray Closer to heaven above and Closer to you closer to you
I said I wanna touch the earth I wanna break it in my hands I wanna grow something wild and unruly Oh it sounds so good to me
Cowboy take me away Fly this girl as high as you can Into the wild blue Set me free oh I pray Closer to heaven above and Closer to you closer to you Closer to you Cowboy take me away. Closer to you
