but in the mean time was wondering have any of you experienced your child going very very pale and even their lips losing all color?

Happen to Chris yesterday and Man oh Man was he in a bad mood at the same time

Thankfully today at breakfast his color came back and his lips were finally back to their normal color.

Could be nothing which is what Colin and I are praying but because he still has a leak in a valve and since his rapid heart has been fixed THANK GOD ;D His heart rate runs very slow now.

Anywho just wondering has anyone ever experience their child losing color but mainly the lips, really was very odd.

Or am I over reacting even to worry about this??

Just wondering, you mentioned that he was mad...was he maybe holding his breath? I've heard of this in much younger kids. I hope you get to the bottom of this.

I would call the Dr. as soon as they open. I never had this happen but it sure does sound scarey!!! I hope it's nothing....good luck tomorrow

I've never experienced this, but it would scare me! Anytime a child's lips turn blue or lose all of their color is a 'cause for concern. No color or blue color means low oxygen. Low oxygen = concern. Let us know how it turns out.

YUP called his heart doc first thing Monday morning and he will be going in for a full check up.

I told the Heart Doc I wasn't sure if I should call him or the Ped or if anyone. He said YUP I was right to call him on this.

After Chris had his WPW cleared up in Cleveland ;D which was a SUCCESS ;D it seemed Christopher' heart rate became low and sometimes would drop extremely low. Lots of tests were done on him and there was talk of him getting a pace maker. The Doc, Colin and I all agreed since he was not really showing any symptoms we were not going to rush to due that.

Honestly procedures just don't ever go easy for Chris so we have all agreed that unless its life threating we hold off.

Anywho the Doc feels his rate may have dropped very low when this happen but he was very happy that Chris did not faint.

His Doc isn't exactly sure how he wants to handle all this yet, for the moment schedule an appointment unless it happens again bring him in PRONTO and we are to keep a close eye on him. K, I can do that as we do that anyway LOLOL

Today a note came home from Camp that Chris was very very mellow not himself at all Honestly if you knew my Chris mellow was never a word one would use to describe him

I checked his rate and was in the 50's after camp, which is low but still safe

Colin and I decided I should call back tomorrow and schedule that appointment sooner then later just to be on the safe side.

I tell you for 13 years Chris had to deal with the rapid heart rate and now the slow rate, one of these days this boy will have a normal rate I pray
