Oh Debbie, that is so good to hear! I always figure that each of us has our own hurdles in life & some are bigger than others, but that just means you have to make yourself stronger so you can clear those hurdles, or learn ways to walk around them whenever you can You are a great reminder of what it is to be content with what is, and not bother thinking about "what if..." Bravo!

good for you Debbie. I don't know if any of you remember when my neice was possibly pg with a baby who might have DS. My sister thought I should talk to Emily when she came home for Christmas about why everyone was so hangdog...afraid it might hurt Emily's feelings. So I did...and she lit up like a star and said...Well I will talk to Lainey....I LOVE having Down syndrome!.
And you know...while this sounds like an odd statement...it has sort of been Emily's "claim to fame"...LOL. Lots of good things have come her way because of it and she is not ashamed nor does she feel life dealt her a bum deal. The only thing she has ever blamed on DS is...her math abilities...just blows them off and says...Math is hard for me because I have DS! Even I can't say that about my math skills...LOL.
