You're killing me now....Ice Lollies! ;D LMAO Yes we have popsicles and some are even fruit filled or icecream filled. still popsicles. I loved the orange popsicles with vanilla cream inside. Then of course you can freeze your own fruit juice and make home made ones. But...Ice lollies??? WTH is that? ;D I guess it's another word for popsicle? lololol

;D ;D ;D OK "Ice Lollies" I think is a UK term... Friends of mine when I was growing up were English and always called them Ice Lollies ;D We Aussies, just call them Icypoles ;D We get all the usual Icecream on a stick etc "Popsicles" too... The ones I was referring to, I buy in big bags from the supermarket, unfrozen, and put in the freezer when I get home... Same with the Hydrolite ones from the Pharmacy... These are the ones... do you guys get these type "Popsicles" ;D ;D ;D We even have little neoprene sleves for them to fit into to stop cold hands ;D Sorry for Hi Jacking the original post I really do hope Brook is feeling better !

Jenn, There are alot of good ideas/opinions here. Not that I have anything to add of any value since I have not had this in our home. However, I have heard that the measles are making thier way around these days and wondered if they are considering that? I am not really sure what they look like since I havent' personally seen them...just an idea...I sure hope that Brook starts to feel better really fast and starts to eat/drink!

Ok you guys are cracking me up here I do know of icypoles Tammy. My uncle spent alot of time in you neck of the woods and would smuggle back the best treats You won't believe this. Last night Brook had her Benadryl and Malox coctail. Didn't like it much but I got it down her. Asked her if she wanted to watch Signing Time... Nope. Ok so we sat there in bed and she conked out for 3 hours. I did get about 2oz of milk in her also. I kinda did too w/ one eye open b/c she has never had Benadryl before and she got soooo tried she looked kinda drunk. I didn't like that much. She woke up and the rash on her face was gone and she seemed kinda happier. She actually ate with dad too. They had corn and chicken hearts...YUCK!!!!! I tried giving her everything in the house. Even went and got her french fries but nope, wasn't having it. She wanted chicken hearts. (yes her and her dad eat gross stuff like hearts and oysters...again, YUCK but whatever works.) She took a couple drinks of Peidalyte. All she wanted was momma to hold her so of corse I did. We watched cooking show. Then she ate a whole bowl of ice cream. Had a bath. She had 3oz more of milk and conked back out for the entire night. I kept waking up in panic mode b/c she wasn't waking up like she usually does but she was just sleepy. She got up this am and in the usual fashion I get a wack to the face and open my eyes to Brook right in my face wanting Signing Time. She had a little bit of a wet panny She is now drinking her milk and looks SOOO much better. It's a miracle. Thank you all for caring about The Brookster. Her spots are so much better this am too. You can still see them but they are not bright red anymore. Connie, Brook does/did have some of those symptoms. Red eyes, lips tounge, spots in mouth, etc..Yikes. I just don't know. The doc called this am to check on Brooker. Said to come back in in a month for a weight check. She lost about 2 lbs sence end of Sept so doc was worried. I'm not quite sure if it wasn't Roseola again. Just came different than last time. She never had a super high fever like last time and the spots looked different. Kids, I tell ya, they are so confusing Who knows, maybe she had a alergic reaction to something. What is beyond me but you never know. Arghhhhh, kids She just came out of the bedroom saying football w/ her empty bottle so I do believe she is on the mend. Thanks for all the prayers, I do believe that is what helped. You guys are the bestest.

First, sooo glad to here she's doing better today!!!
Second, for those of you that were on Uno last year, didn't Laurasnowbird post a picture of Adin (why can't I think of how to spell his name right now?! geez) and he had the exact same rash??? Remember the picture, his blue eyes were just beautiful, but he had that awful rash all over his face? What was it that was wrong with him, wasn't it an allergic reaction?
Laura, Laura - where are you?!!!

LOL, Jessie, your memory is amazing! I had the exact same thought when I saw the Brooke's picture, though. Here's ours: The verdict, from two different doctors was a "viral exanthema". I remember that it was worst in the morning, and got a little better as the day wore on. It started out on the first day as little pinpricks that looked like a heat rash (but ahem, it was February in Michigan, get my drift?) and then they started to raise up a tiny bit and run together. He was fine in a few days, but it sure looked nasty while he had the spots. I've been out of town working, and saw this thread, but couldn't access my pictures from my work laptop. Just got home tonight, and wanted to share them with you. It will be fine, I'm sure! Looks much worse than it is......

Oh what a cutie pie, spots and all. What beautiful blue eyes I think she is on the mend. Went to volleyball tonight and she was clapping and having a good time. Her spots are still there a little. She is tinkleing in her pannty and drinking more. I wanted to get her off the bottle at bed time just maybe not this way but it worked. Hasn't had a bottle at bed in a week Have I told all you all that you are the BEST!!!
