Chris and I have just had a lovely weekend in London while the boys were in respite. The hotel and the weather couldn't have been better. We arrived on Friday around 11.30, took a taxi to our hotel, settled in then went for a walk around Covent Garden, Trafalger Square, Picadilly etc. In the evening we went to see the musical Buddy, I saw it about 15 years ago and enjoyed it just much on Friday as the first time I saw it. On Saturday we spent most of the day on Oxford Street and did lots of shopping but we did manage a trip to the British Museum too. In the evening we went to the Palladium to see The Sound of Music, it was very good. On Sunday we got up late then went on an open top sight seeing bus, we got off at the London Eye, walked across the river and went on a trip down the river to the Tower of London where we got off and got back on the open top bus back to Leicester Square. Our train left Euston at 5.05 and we were back home by 9. By the end of the weekend I could hardly walk as my knees were so bad but it was all worth the pain. (when we were at the British Museum Chris got me a wheelchair and pushed me around - I could get used that!!!)

Sounds like you had a really wonderful, and action packed weekend. Have you heard when you can have your surgery yet? Hope it won't be too long. Lorraine
