hello everyone, sorry it has taken me so long to reply but I have been so busy with the holidays and drs appts. Just to give all an update. Austin is still not back to normal. They found that he had fluid in his ears (acute otitus media) it has finally gone away. But my baby is not back yet. He does still walk funny. He has an abnormal gait is what you would call it. Everytime he goes to walk he stiffens up. I have no idea what the heck to do next. He is going to go to an audiologist to see if his hearing has been affected. Lately, he has been having more of an upbeat nature. Its funny when he actually gets up and stands in front of the tv no one says anything cuz Austin is actually DOING something. He is still talking with a whipser though and that might have something to do with the hearing. He needs to go and see a neurologist but they are at least a month or two out to see. So I just wanted to give you all an update. Thank all of you for your cares and concerns. Also if there is anyone out there with anything similiar, please feel free to let me know. Oh, and by the way, his bathroom habits have also regressed, he is back in pull ups.....all our love Austin and his mommy

Thanks so much for the update.... sorry to hear Austin still isn't feeling like himself yet. I hate when I don't know whats going on with my son. And with him being non-verbal, that happens alot. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. keep us updated. p.s. maybe there will be a cancellation with the neurologist so you can get in to see him sooner. Its so tuff getting appointments with these specialists. The months of waiting are horrific! Good Luck!
