and it was as I expected no more wait and see for Chris. He needs to get a pacemaker put in ASAP. The results of his 24 heart monitor picked up way to long pauses in his heart beat that can no longer be over looked. He will go into Columbia Hospital in New York City most likely the end of this week or next week. The Doc will talk to the surgeon at Columbia and get back to me with the details as to when we will bring him in. Doc said his concern is that the pauses in his heart beats are getting much longer and he worries that there could be a time where his heart just pauses and doesn't start up again K, no need to tell me more then once get this done is what Colin and I both said. Chris has dealt with tachycardia (sp?) for years, got that fixed and now Bradycardia (sp?) It will be kind of cool to finally have him have a steady heart beat for once in his life ;D I will let you know when he is going in for it as soon as I hear. CC ~

Oh dear, but it's a relief in a way to have it figured out, right? It explains alot of his symptoms I'll bet... Getting the pacemaker should ease everyone's mind and thankfully it's determined he needs it now w/o delay. Oh I know how you feel, another procedure for Chris...I'll be sending prayers CC.

"Did you ask which kind of pacemaker he will be getting?" Actually I did ask that and his heart Doc said the surgeon doing it will pick the most appropriate one for Chris, Hmm not sure what that means but "most appropriate one for Chris" works for me since I don't know anything about them. "Will you be able to have this done locally or will you have to travel out of state" We live in New Jersey and will have the procedure done at Columbia in New York City, which is not far from us. I do believe he will be in and out the same day although with Chris one can never know till it happens. But we are hoping he is in and out. Actually I have heard that many get this done just by having a sedative BUT everyone agrees with Chris he has to be put out. Thats the part that bugs Colin and I as Chris just never seems to do well with anesthesia (sp?) His heart Doc called me today and said I will be hearing from the surgeon tomorrow with the day and time. He said it could be as early as Friday or for sure next week. His Ped phoned today also and for the blood tests that has her concerned about his kidneys she is sending Chris for an ultra sound on his kidneys. She said it could wait till we get this other stuff done. She also told me she feels a pace maker will make Chris feels tons better and probably have more energy Hmmm more energy YIKES that is one thing he is really not lacking in ... More Hmmmm LOLOL THANKS as always for letting me go on about this as it helps my worries to get it out CC ~
