Ebay - great idea, I am an avider Ebayer and even have a couple of buddy's that work for Ebay. I am going to email them and see if I can get it set up as a no fee auction and go from there. If we have enough from the first order I am going to try to get it listed as soon as I can. That way people can also use paypal to pay for them.
thanks for the idea

Best deal I can find on hotels for that weekend is a Holiday Inn Arlington (very close to six flags), not sure if we will do six flags but I think we will try to plan to leave early Saturday June 19th in the morning and spend one night and come back Sunday June 20th. Here is the link for the hotel: www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/hi/1/en/hd/dalan?irs=y

Welcome to Uno Mas ;D ;D
This is a great site, my name is Clint 28yrs old and my wifes, Jennifer 25yrs old. We are having our first son, who is due on January 10th. At 31wks we found out he had DS and AVSD (heart defect). After we heard about the news I started researching and it led me here.
This is one big family, and a great support group. I have had a lot of questions answered and got to too see some pictures of some wonderful kids. You have found a great support group.

Amy
Evan had the same surgery in March of this year. They caught it early enough with him. They were going to try glasses for correction but his Dr. told us that with the surgery Evan would have a much better chance of not wearing glasses.
The surgery went very well, and we noticed that he became a lot more alert, and had more fun looking at books and stuff that requires your eyes to work.
The surgery like all others worried us, it took the doctor about 25minutes per eye, he had both done while he was there. He had his surgery on a Wednesday and recovered very well, he went back to daycare on Monday of the following week, ofcourse we had to explain that he did not have pink eyes because the eyes stay red of 2-3 weeks after surgery.
I am glad we did this and we don't have to fight with glasses yet, I guess there is always a chance down the road that he will need something since both Jen and I wear contacts anyways.
Hope this helped Clint

Hello there, we had a similar experience with our little man Evan. Evan was born 5 weeks early with the same heart conditions. (He had AVSD, Atrioventricular septal defect) which is a fancy medical name for an ASD and VSD defect, the only difference was he only had one mitrol valve. He struggled in the hospital and destated regularly. Once he started eating, gaining a little weight and maintaining his temperature he did great. Although we came home with an NG tube (we had it for a hole year), and on digoxin and lasix he did great. He had his heart surgery at 3 months old. He is now 19 months old and is a great kid. He is strong and healthy and is off the NG tube and all of his heart medicines. He goes to a daycare with normal developing kids, and is pretty much at his age level. (he is not walking yet but getting close). We were told on occasions that his progress wasn't very good and death could be a possibility. One thing we have learned is that our special childeren are very resilant and tough, Evan has been through so much already, but he lives life every day with a smile. He wakes up happy and falls asleep with a smile on his face. Remember our kids do things on their own time.
Your son will be in our prayers, the will to live is usually stronger than a doctors prognosis.
Keep us posted Clint, Jen and Evan

Kathy
We had a similar problem with Evan, and we always struggled. We tried everything, Kayro, medication nothing seemed to help him go on a regular schedule. Just lately we have found that he likes apple pie filling. He is 18months old so a little older, but we have started giving it to him 2 or 3 times a week and it has done the trick for us. He loves to eat it warm and it usually doesn't take long for it to kick in.

Welcome - our son had heart surgery at 3 months old - he is now almost 3 and is doing great. It is scary, but this area of expertise is just great. If you are interested we took some pictures post surgery of Evan, as do most parents. We had some pictures sent to us before Evan's surgery, and although kind of scary we were well prepared for the post op scene. If you are interested, email me at swanny297@yahoo.com and I can send you some.
Congradulations again Clint Swanson

Prayers headed your way - Evan had a small case of RSV and Pnemonia in May of this year, and we were in the hospital over night. He was able to qualify for his RSV shots again this year but this will probably be the last year. Evan's ped. requested we get a breathing machine (nebulizer) and do breathing treatments periodically. We started out with Albuterol but it made him so hyper, and in doing some research it actually speeds up the heart. We switched to a new nebulizer medicine called Xopenex (Levalbuterol). We noticed it worked better, Evan enjoyed the treatments more, and he wasn't as hyper. Just a suggestion, you can go to WebMd.com and read up on it. It may not cure RSV right away but it may help with his breathing and hyperism better.

Evan is the same way, he gets very upset when it gets too loud.
Last weekend we had about 15 people singing happy b-day and he got really upset. We would love to take him to see the Wiggles, or Disney on Ice stuff like that but we know he would not like it at all, eventhough he loves the Wiggles on TV.
