OK friends, It is true....today is a 512 Craig mp3 player for $49.99. This is a great deal, I bought a Sandisk 512 for 1/2 price at circuit city the day after thanksgiving for $47. I have not used the Craig, so can't vouch for the brand...my Sandisk does have a slot for an additional card memory that means I can add on up to 2gigs of memory. I bought mine because I am a total geek that listens to books on cassatte and Cd (only way I have time to "read") from my local library. I found out that our library now has free audio books that I can check out over the computer and down load to the mp3 player without ever going out the door, then at the end of 21 days..the file just scrambles....so no returning or late fees. The only advice the library gave me was to NOT get an IPOD because they don't license that kind of download. I did do some research into players and you are pretty much safe if they have the "plays for sure" logo that many companies are adopting. Again, I am not sure about Craig brand....but probably a quick visit to their website would let you know. I have not yet loaded a book, but loading some songs was easy and the player lets me search by song title or album, or artist, or plays random...pretty cool. The sandisk also has fm radio with 20 presets and plays 17 hours on one AAA battery. If you have a choice....get one with expansion memory. Guys this is half over...but there are still 6 days left. You may want to check out the Toys R Us website. They are offering 3 products each day by email coupon only. It is a huge savings...I got an MP3 player today for $19.99 and a CD player a few days back for $4.99. Check it out...6 days left. Oh, get to the store early..they run out of the items faster and faster as people catch on. It is called the 12 days of Christmas promotion. I hope this link will work. f.e.toysrus.com/s/18/398366091/12Days.html

Hey girl, Thanks for the site. We go to an adult party that requires a costume and I can never decide what to do. Maybe this will give me an early start.
By the way.....we picked up Patick's suit at Walmart this week for about 12 bucks. He is overjoyed to be MR. INCREDIBLE and is wearing the costume to play almost every day. We are surely going to get our moneys worth out of it. ;D

Ok....I am trying to drag myself into the world of uploading photos...thought I would start slow by putting a thumbnail of Patrick in my profile. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I registered with a free hosting site, uploaded the picture, have an address. But, when I try to load it in my profile, and it shows....still there is nothing there when I hit update. Anyone? Anyone?

Thought this was an interesting article on www.factcheck.org about how its not generally against the law to lie in political campaigns or advertisements. I guess this explains much of what goes on. www.factcheck.org/specialreports188.html Sure is a shame that we can't seem to have anyone that can win fairly and with integrity.

Toying around with the idea of going to Disney World in Florida either in Dec, Jan or Feb. We have NEVER been before and I have literally spent hours on their website...which can be overwhelming to say the least. Thought I would ask my favorite experts in the world...those who reside at unomas. Found this great site: www.mousesavers.com/So....what have you all experienced...good and bad. Any suggestions for the least expensive hotel......I looked at the value priced ones. Also, how many days did you spend in which resort? What did your kids love or not. Has anyone been to that VisonQuest thing in Disney Downtown? I would like to see Circue de sole. Any suggestions on keeping the price of food/drinks down if you stay off the Disney property? Anyone use any of the babysitting/kids clubs. I bet they don't allow 4 years olds that arn't potty trained. I would be taking a four year old thats scared of rides, a 10 year old that will ride anything with me and a DH who can't spin around without getting sick. How hard is it to actually get around between the parks and between the resorts and parks? Its all very well to say you have a pass to everything...but if a park closes at 6pm and you try to return to your room and eat...seems you would waste too much time. Maybe this will be the year! Thanks guys.

Let's see Barb....my husband didn't grow up there...he was a military brat. But his father had a brother and sister that stayed in the area....and many, many cousins. My father-in-law and his brother are the last name Fernald, his sisters married name is Josimovich and she and her daughter still live in Cambridge in the original family homes that were built by my father-in-laws maternal grandfather, whose name I believe was Shay or Shea. This is on Royal Ave. I have only visited once many years ago. But we attended my dh's grandmother's 90th birthday in the original family homes.

Jackie, my husband tells me that back in the 70's, his parents went to a party with his mother dressed as a brick and his father was a brick layer. I thought that was pretty clever.

OK.....this is NOT a thread to discuss politics or politicians......I am not nuts....but thought if any of you are watching the debates, or are still undecided and looking for facts to help you, the site listed below is supposed to be non partisan and supposed to be looking out for all our best interest by checking the facts. I enjoyed checking it out and thought some of you might, too. www.factcheck.org/MiscReports.aspx@docID=70.html This one is worth a look, too. www.vote-smart.org/program_about_pvs.php
