Was reading Katie's facebook page today and noticed this from my 10 yr old grandaughter Hayden ;D
Another deep thought from Hayden: "We can have so much random stuff happen to us - we have kittens in the bushes, a bird nest above the door... but we can't win the lottery."

I am not sure that some people will ever 'get it' or that we will ever develop shells against it. Just yesterday on facebook a friend made a comment about 'taking the short bus'.
Now this article was done intentionally with malice. I really think that for many people it will have to be a "walk a mile in my shoes" for them to understand and stop this trash.

Debi..I am sure it will finally all come together and by now you probably know this is the right decision or you wouldn't keep pushing so hard. I have shared about some of Em's guy friends who have loved their group situations...in face two of them who have been living in one for some years are now moving out to an actual apartment and even more independence.
I understand paperwork and hangups when you have a determined date and goals...our house which has been for sale for six months is almost sold but now have hit some snags with the buyers and needs for more and more tests on things...sigh.
I imagine being single does make it much tougher too...so hang in there and let us know have it all resolves.

I have always used photobucket to upload here. For some reason now I can't get anything to post...any one who can help me? This means walk me through it. Photobucket seems to have added some bells and whistles and must be confusing me. Jackie

The iTouch and iPhones are cool but I am very happy with my simple Sprint phone. BUT...LOL...after a recent visit to son David's (his kids are 8,7,3,1)...and watching them fight over Marnie's iPhone for its apps...I came home referring to them as my "i" grandkids! Even little Eli at 18 mos when I dropped my simple phone on the ground...picked it up and came over to me whining..."games?"..."games?" LOL. I don't know if Em has ever messed around with one...but so far she is not into many games...just uses the net to surf. All of our kids DS and not are growing up in a different world from us...

Ok..so Em is 29...and she can still pout. LOL. Last night at dinner Katie was excited because Hayden and her little friend had cooked an exciting dinner of biscuits and gravy and they were eating it off of fine china ;D. What could have been a fun meal was marred by Em's grousing over... 'what?'... Katie couldn't get out of her...
Turns out it was really nothing...I had sent her a website for Keen Roatan shoes. Em has really hard to fit feet and my aging feet are not always happy with shoes either. I have found these odd looking shoes to be the next best thing to walking barefoot and I wanted Em to print off a pic and take it to Dillards with Pam her helper and try some on.
Well it seems she read the description on Zappos which said they were for wearing in the water. Katie finally made her open up and she said..."I am NOT wearing shoes swimming...and I am NOT like Mom at all"...LOL. So Katie patiently explained the reason for the post and now I think she is ok with it all. Hayden looked at them and now wants them in all six colors...LOL.
So...you can see...that even older sometimes its still hard to express emotions correctly. I finally talked to her on the phone and straightened it all out I hope.

this is so cool...I sent it to Katie...I am wondering if it might be good for Emily. I couldn't figure out the price. I will have to go back and study it more in depth. I think this would be a good tutorial for students who are not homeschooled as well.
Thanks and hope everyone looks at it.
